9L Q400 question

Do the (9L) Q400's have EGPWS? does it have the 500..100 50ft etc callouts?
Also, do they have acars printers on them? will the new ones have the printers? Are there going to be any enhancements or "fixes" from the older versions in regards to the APU, yaw damp, AP? sorry for all the questions I'm just curious cause I am probably going to be making the jump over to the Q by the end of the year. Not that any of that has a bearing on whether I go or not...just curious.

The main "fixes" that haven't been fixed is your Paycheck for flying it. Had a Jumpseater out of CRW to CLT and my FO felt bad for the dude when he explained what he got paid to fly it.
 
Actually, EGPWS is a requirement for ALL turbine powered aircraft. And, yes the pay on the Q is an horrible. Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Depends on your employer...The pay on the Q at Horizon isn't really all that horrible!
 
so skyw pilots make more on 2nd year pay than a 15 year FO, and they skyw pilots have LESS seats? Alpa.........echo.....echo.....echo......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The problem isn't with the autopilot per se, it is more a case of engineering and design compromises to keep a common type-rating with the 100/200/300 series aircraft. The "Q" is a bastardized airplane, and for all it's performance and economics it falls short of what was typical for Bombardier for their attention to detail.
 
sadly the 9L Q4 pay is better than the 9E RJ2 pay...oh the humanity

just saw the memo for Egpwizz mode 6 callouts for the q. And yes.. we know the pay BLOWS on the dash. Colgan MEC keeps boasting how they are going to have a contract by the end of the year! I don't buy it but apparently everyone sporting those stupid "contract 2010" stickers do. My question is this: How the HELL are we going to get a contract is LESS THAN 2 YRS if 9E still does not have a contract?. We are basically under the same mgmt as 9E and yet we are going to get a "industry standard" contract before they do?! wtf? I think that most of our MEC is working hard and doing a great job to do get the contract ASAP.. but i'm not holding my breath.

Horizon Pilots:
How is the MX at Horizon on the Q400? It seems that the ones over here are always breaking down for a variety of reason. I'm sure it has a lot to do with a crappy mx dept. here. Thank for any response... back to IAD life for me
