Is the normal position for this switch in or out?
In is almost flush with the panel. Out is out about 1/8 inch.

I am adding a similar style switch to a BBJ and I am trying to match the existing logic flow. I am guessing OFF is out and no lights on switch when OFF.
It will be a long time before I have power on the plane to test this.
Thanks in advance.

Switch is not flush with overhead panel when using normal landing altitudes. This is off or not selected. Two position switch. Flush is active.

why????????????????????

Sorry. I should have added a wink or a disturbing smiley face :)

Although, I do have a real question. Can you really just "add" a switch to the PX System without input from the manufacturer and the FAA ?

It is a switch for the cabin temp control.
cockpit/cabin
It is just part of the big package of mods.
I just want it to work correctly, i.e. Boeing logic.

The High ALT LGD Switch has nothing to do with cabin temp control. It reprograms the cabin ATL warning horn to go off at 12,500 ft instead of 10,000 ft

Try reading the original question again.

I am not changing the function of the HIGH ALT LDG switch in anyway, I am just adding a new switch that looks and works the same and needed to know that its Normal Landing position is in the OUT position. The point is the normal position of both switch will be he same, I hope.

When you go home at night and turn on the living room light switch, up is ON
When you turn on the landing light, down is ON

Wouldn’t you be pisssstoff if the installer added a switch that had a Normal position that was backwards from of all the rest on the overhead panel, I would be.

Ex737Driver, thanks for the fast answer
