I am headed to HP soon in a few weeks. I am flying rather old equipement at the moment. Any trouble getting used to that type of stuff?

There is no FMC in a 737-200 but there is in the 737-300 and up. If there is an FMC it is important for the check ride. If you can't type, you won't get the type (rating). Sorry, I could not resist.

get yourself microsoft flight simulator 2002 and go online and purchase a third party addon software regarding Boeing or Airbus. try PSS or avsim.com or flightsim.com. Then you can learn all FMC or FMGC all you want at home.
Especially with the airbus from Phoenix Simulation Software. You can learn all the efis ( flight by wire). etc.... really worth it .....
