I'm currently applying to several regionals. I currently have more than 1k hrs PIC tubrine (Caravan time) and a 737 type.
I'm afraid some (or all) regionals may be "afraid" of hiring someone like to due this fact. Is this something that will prevent me from getting an offer at a regional or I'm being paranoic about it? (I do not intend to apply to SW for a few years!!!!)
Thanks for your sincere opinion

You're Kidding

1000PIC Turbine and a 737 type and you're waiting a couple of years to apply to Southwest? Can you say SENIORITY? Unless you have been living on another planet, upgrade, vacations, days off, trips flown are all determined by SENIORITY. Gee, I guess I'll wait a few years and let 500 other guys get hired in front of me. One number can make the difference in staying a F/O for a few more years or being a Captain.
Hello, McFly...... wake up!!!

what do you have to loose?

Again, I have to stick to my guns. Seniority is the name of the game. What do you have to loose by applying? Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
Go for it. You surely won't get hired if you don't apply.

Applying to regionals v. paranoia

As far as the regionals go, the question you really should be asking is, "do I have enough multi time?" Your total looks fine and your Caravan turbine PIC time looks just fine.

Perhaps you're afraid the regionals will get a bad vibe from the 737 type. Well, you can't hide it because it is on your pilot certificate, but so what? You should not foreclose on applying to anyone because you could unintentionally foreclose on an opportunity. You should apply to any and all regionals. Let them be the judges of your quals. The worst that can happen is they won't call you. But, my $0.02 opinion is they just might. I second the comment above about nothing being gained if nothing is ventured.

Having just said that, I, too, don't understand why you don't just go ahead and apply to Southwest. You have the magic 1000 turbine multi and you have the 737 type. (I assume their total min is still 2500.) Here again, you won't know for sure unless you try.

Hope that helps. Best of luck with your job search.
