737 BBJ Info?

Does anybody have a website address for all of the 737 BBJ carriers? Trying to do a project and require this information for project. Oh well

Mike,

Bill Harms' airline fleet list for the 737NGs is located at:

http://www.bird.ch/bharms/asr_sh00.htm

He has discontinued the project, but the lists are current as of 12/02 (sounds current enough for your purposes).

Just do a CTRL+F in your browser and search for "BBJ" - you will come up with all of them that way. The BBJ designation is listed near the left after the aircraft type (i.e. 737-7XX (BBJ)). The operator is then to the right, among other data. Hope this helps!

I sure haven't seen many BBJ's out there at all... when it comes to long haul types I see mostly G-V's and then Global Expresses...

While I probably do see more GVs, and an occasional GEX. I see BBJs quite often in the states. Probably more than I see GEXs.
(I mean true BBJs by definition, not corp 73-200/300s.) I even saw a corp 737-300 in ASE a few months ago. I wish I could have seen him leave! Or arrive for that matter.

Check out the website TheBBJ.com . They have a list of all the BBJ operators worldwide. I'm not sure how current the list is, but they usually keep the rest of the website up-to-date.

This is the true BJJ list (corporate operators). Not airlines that operate the 737NG (ATA, SWA etc).

PS - I thought aircraft the size of the A300 weren't allowed to operate at ASE. If the BBJ is restricted there, how can an A300? I'm not questioning what you saw, just curious if there has been a change.

Just some clarification. BBJs are 737NGs (specifically, BBJs are -700s and BBJ2s are -800s), but 737NGs are not necessarily BBJs, of course, nor are the 737-200/-300/-400 etc with corporate operators. The original link I provided includes both airlines and corporate operators (the entire NG fleet). The "true BBJ list" as of 1/27/02 is located here:

BBJ/BBJ2 operators are designated as such. There are several more airframes on this list, as the TheBBJ.com list is outdated by about 9 months. I hope this provides the original poster with the most accurate (and least confusing!) information.

I stand corrected on the BBJ/737NG. The point I was trying to make was corporate / head of state (e.g.) versus traditional airline use.

I didn't realize BBJ.com was so out of date. Sorry for the bad info.

As for large airline types operating to Aspen, I thought the airport banned such large jet operation. I know Air Wisconsin operate BAe-146's in there. It's been several years since I've been there, but I distinctly remember Boeing having head aches trying to get the airport authority to approve BBJ ops there.
