There are a few 737 Study Apps available but are around $20. Looked neat, any one try them out? They are generic 737 not SW specific.

There are a few good and free flash card apps. You can access shared catalog of cards. There are quite a few decks from SWA, CAL, ALK, exc.. some are very good with picture, sounds, and videos. Price is right. Alaska uses Flashcard Deluxe.

I'd worry more about the personality. If you meet the mins and get lucky, they'll interview you. If you get through that, they'll teach you how to fly it. It ain't that hard a plane.

That s my fault for not updating my profile. I was kind of asking the question for others as well as someone on our forum already bought everything but a sim. Then others posted that some of the stuff he purchased was wrong so I would hate for me or someone else to burn cash on a bad app.

I am still a year away unless there are some major bypasses for class.

Then I wouldn't worry about it. Recall items, limitations, the FMC and A/P. If you're on the 717, the last two shouldn't be a problem.

Don't sweat it..

Just remember it's not your Daddys MD product! The NG's don't like to come down and slow down! Very clean wing, a heavy -800 going down hill can be hard to slow down.

Goofy flap system, the slats extend with flaps 1, there is no slat extend, flaps 1 extends your slats to mid or intermediate. and you can't get flaps 1 until 250 kts. Non-SFP extend full slats beyond flaps 15, SFP extend full slats beyond flaps 25. Oh ya, since Boeing never flight tested the flaps above FL200, flaps are prohibited from being extended above 200.

MD-80 was great, slats extend at 270 kts and she would come down and slow down very nice, ahh the good ol' days!!!!

I must say VNAV arrivals are pretty cool!!
