I don't know much about the Pay, Schedules, QOL. But I can tell ya that they do only hire prior-military. I guess they got kind of burned by a civillian guy that they'd give a shot to several years ago.
I've heard the pay, QOL and everything about the job is outstanding. One of the Executive VPs who rides on their Gulfstreams has a nephew who is a pilot for Mesaba and can't get a foot in the hangar, let alone a callback from anyone in the hiring loop. Very tough job to get into.
Funny you should say. I am actually the Nephew of an Executive for 3M as well. I haven't really picked his brain yet, as I want to build my resume a little before I make an attempt.
Just to clarify, they hire previous military guys with Gulfstream experience, just being prior military doesn't really help. They are highly selective because they can be, but there are very few who work there that never flew a Gulfstream. Arguably the best corporate job out there as far as equipment, QOL, pay and stability. Good luck.
