I don't know if this is just an Af thing, but I'm wondering what the 3 steps are that you learn in UPT. All I know is that it has to deal with problem solving or emergencies.

This is probably a stupid question, but just wondering if this is something I could incorporate in my aviator toolbox.

Always trying to learn!

Here is what you will learn to recite while handling an emergency procedure during pilot training.
1. Maintain aircraft control
2. Analyze the situation
3. Take the appropriate action

Let's not also forget.
1. Aviate
2. Navigate
3. Communicate

Or for the fighter types
V - Stay visual
F - Fly formation
R - Work the radar

Thanks for the info Gunfighter. Pretty simple! I thought it was going to be a little more complicated.

BTW, not going to UPT, all civilian for me. Considered Gaurd/Reserves while back, but wife said she would "consider" divorcing me if I did. To old know!

Thanks again!
