3 dead in crash at PVU

sad story, 2 of them instructors. after so many hours at PVU, it is truly hurtful to me to see this. taxiid past that 310 more times than I can count...

That would be the same company that improperly torqued the bolts on a katana prop, allowing the katana to lose it's prop in roughly the same location as this crash. And that rigged the ailerons on a 182 I worked on...when I got it the airplane was the most badly rigged airplane I'd ever seen. To maintain level, the yoke had to be held 90 degrees to the left. Not to point fingers, of course. I spoke to the mechanic who did the work: he told me it just needed a little rudder trim.

Last year a student in that area wanted to do a multi and multi instructor, and I was looking for an airplane to rent. I recall having approached these individuals about renting the airplane. I never did see it. I believe they said it had been damaged and needed a lot of work.

Kinda glad we didn't use that airplane...
