Just curious as to what you 19 seat 121 pilots do for pax safety briefings? Is there a recording that you play, or is it the F/O's job.

Corporate Airlines JS32s have a recorded briefing. Captain usually gives a short explanation of exit row responsibility and emergency door operation after people board but before the recorded briefing begins.

Meal and beverage service is the FO's responsibility:D

Ditto for the 1900. At least ours. Recoded briefings for safety, takeoff, before landing and after landing.

At BMA(J31) the FO did the brief 9 times out of 10 even on the planes with a briefer. It saves alot of time doing it yourself.
But for the decent and arrival briefs we let the tape do it.

hehe

"But for the decent and arrival briefs ...."

What about the indecent briefs?

Is a recording typical for most of the industry? How about at Skyways (Midwest connect)

Beech FO's give the safety brief then let the autobriefer(sp) give all the others. Flying with an MEL'd briefer was allways a large pain in the rear. The written brief was a full page long
