Anybody know any info on these two units (Duluth and Sioux Falls)? i.e., things they're looking for in UPT candidates, their history of hiring non-prior, etc.

Yeah, I found the Duluth website, but thanks. What I was looking for is the little things that carries a lot of weight for each unit, such as being local area for the 114th. Anything on that order. I've heard Fargo doesn't even consider those not already in the unit. Do you know of any more?

If you are asking about units that only hire from within, from what I know they are:

1.)New orleans- in state apps also
2.)Ellington TX
3.)New Mexico
4.)Arizona
5.)Colorado

Some of these are also some of the more "political"units. if you know what I mean. Im sure there are others but I persued the guard for 2 years and these were the ones that seemed to come up alot from various people I met all over the country. Of course any units will give preference to in house guys, but Iv seen off the street civilians get hired over them as well.

Lets see if I can remember

131st *
148th *
188th
114th
115th *
132nd
138th
178th *
180th
181st
183rd *

* means I interviewed or was offered an interview. They are all fighter units.

If you don't mind me asking....what are your stats? PCSM, GPA, college major, prior or non-prior.

Just wondering what my chances are. I realize a lot of it is networking with the unit and personality, but....I'm sitting at 99 PCSM, 97 pilot, 91 nav, 79, 78, 71, 3.5 GPA, non-prior. Thanks

And for anyone who's gotten a slot or even an interview, what do you think was your strongest point?
