It is a great experience and a lot of fun, most of the time. Hageland is a decent company. The bush life wasn't for me, but the flying is great. Like others have said, the best thing to do is fly up there and get some face to face time. The other option is to go up there and do some instructing to build your Alaska time and see if you really want to do it. Elmendorf AFB was just looking for some instructors, and it is a good place to teach. I taught there in the winter before going to Hageland.
