I just got an email from a friend looking to hire an aircraft for 8 pax for a flight from Palwaukee (near Chicago) down to K20 (Hazard, KY). Besides the 2 large FBOs on the field, where else should I look? Any recommendations?
Thanks.

Have you checked with all the operators at PWK. I believe one of the flight schools over on the east side also does 135 stuff. Great Bear aviation or something like that.

http://www.wisconsinaviation.com/charter/intro.html#reqquoteThe King Air, Mitubishi Diamond, Citationjets, or the Conquest should fit your bill (8 ppl). Ruth Burgess is the Milwaukee area contact at (800)657-0761.
Yea, Wisconsin Aviation will be grateful for your business. Dave Cappel and Grant Goetsch are pretty good jet pilots and Jeff Baum, the proprietor flies jets as well.

I worked there for better than two years...give em a call. They will bend over backwards to make your trip as pleasant as possible.

Pretty good jet pilots just won't cut it for some people. I prefer excellent jet pilots, they tend to be more than just pretty good.

:) hahaha...considering how much pilots biatch on this board about previous employers, I figure calling them "pretty good" says a lot! :)
