Why isn't there a national organization for 135 cargo pilots? EMS 135 pilots seem to have a national organization. I know there aren't a ton of 135 cargo pilots compared to 121 airlines, but you'd think there'd be enough to at least warrant some type of organization. Maybe it's due to the transient nature of our jobs as 135 cargo pilots...

Whatever the reasons, it'd be nice to have a website at least, or even better, a formal organization to make recommendations and lobby for the rights of 135 cargo pilots to the FAA and law makers. Not a union, mind you, but at least some type of organization. As everyone probably knows, 135 cargo pilots aren't in much of a position to dictate terms with their companies.

I'm naive to the politics of this, although I've been a 135 cargo pilot for two companies for about 6 years now. Any input would be appreciated.

You answered your own question. Regardless some sort of website might be a good idea. Pilots are easy marks. You could sell some snazzy t-shirts, stickers, and LED flashlights. Perhaps do a little partnering with Kit Darby with a link to his site and commission for you every time a sucker, uhhh I mean client, clicks on the link and gives away his hard earned money to Kit.

What shall this website be called, Willflyforfood.com??? Wait a sec... that one's already taken! Howabout Fr8tdawgs.com? Maybe Iflyapieceofcrapfornuthin.com? No, that wouldn't quite cover some of the big 121 outfits. Hmmmmmmmm... this is gonna take some thinkin'

www.iflyapieceofcrapfornuthin.com Hahah. Far as takin' dawgs money.... Uh... I forgot, most of us are already too broke to join any more silly associations. Guess that about covers it.
