Why isn't there a national organization for 135 cargo pilots? EMS 135 pilots seem to have a national organization. I know there aren't a ton of 135 cargo pilots compared to 121 airlines, but you'd think there'd be enough to at least warrant some type of organization. Maybe it's due to the transient nature of our jobs as 135 cargo pilots...
Whatever the reasons, it'd be nice to have a website at least, or even better, a formal organization to make recommendations and lobby for the rights of 135 cargo pilots to the FAA and law makers. Not a union, mind you, but at least some type of organization. As everyone probably knows, 135 cargo pilots aren't in much of a position to dictate terms with their companies.
I'm naive to the politics of this, although I've been a 135 cargo pilot for two companies for about 6 years now. Any input would be appreciated.
