What other regional airlines do you think will be impacted with $100+ Oil? What regional airlines will benefit and who will be hurt?

Mesa Air slashes service across U.S. Jeff Burns, Tribune

Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group has decided to suspend service to Albuquerque and has notified more than 12 communities across the country that it is canceling service, according to New Mexico Business Weekly.

The publication said the moves were driven by rising fuel costs and other costs that are contributing to large losses for the airline.

only Go! and a couple routes it does in the southwest are on it's own fuel bill, the rest are covered by codeshares.

"...and other costs..." = lawsuits from Hawaii. Thank your management for getting you guys into that situation.

Let's all pray that 2008 brings the end of MESA.

They are dumping the EAS contract where they bid realllllly low to get it and were suprised with cost. They are looking to pick it up again at a higher subsidy.

Aww, poor JO. He actually has to pay for his fuel on these routes!!

Another whinny ass ASA fo? or just another FI puppet with someones hand up their ass operating your mouth? You are an embarrassment to the profession.

Almost, I think you meant to say that Mesa and their pilots are an embarrassment to the profession. The industry could not see a brighter day when Mesa and the dirtbags that work for them no longer exist.
