    You guys all need to be able to differentiate between the company and the pilots. We are ALPA pilots and many of us have filled out the petition and form letters to our senators too. We arent exactly excited about this. It benefits the JB pilots in no way at all. Maybe the anger is misguided...

    Pretty simple fix. Get one of the reps who opposed this behavior to introduce a resolution restricting reps to federal per diem rates. There is no reason anyone should oppose that. If they do they should be easily voted out.

    Unfortunatley it is a terribly flawed philosophy that management has adopted. A reserve is simply an insurance policy. When you begin to count on it to cover normal operations it is no longer available when the SHTF. But this is just the tip of our crew mismanagement. Unproductive pairings...

    The contract comparison was great and all but it was a very broad overview. 96 pages to compare 7-8 contracts that all have scheduling sections longer than that. The devil is in the details. Go read the other contracts rev rules and get back to us. How many SCR days? When are RSV windows known...

    Yep that too. My personal example. Living in base as an FO getting 14-16 off. Why give that up to commute to 12 off, never knowing my reserve window until the day before. If we had deltas rsv(only 6 scr a month) or SWA 15 off(with set windows) or even spirits with a min 4 day off block...

    I dont think new hires ever got $48 a day perdiem. Dont forget the $26 a day meal credit is only valid at the blue prison. 40 days eating at the same place, over and over.
