    I always wondered about the distinct hum and background noise on legacy United planes.. just never asked anyone. It did make me wonder about the whole "Delta's" thing when I flew with guys that did that... usually it was really old dudes. Same with the heavy thing at cruise.

    DL has hired quite a few pinnacle guys (me being one of them). Just because the airline can't complete a flight for the life of them doesn't mean its the pilots' fault.

    I've never had a problem jumpseating (I'm DL) on DL. 90% of the time I book the seat online, so there is barely anything to do for the agent. Occasionally you run into an agent that has hit their glass ceiling... that is no fun for anyone. I can't remember the last time I've had a problem...
