    Executive Jet Management

Ls? This is the same guy that demanded former crews take care of his seadoos, remain quiet about his "nieces" and all the other nightmare things that you can guess. I guess in this environment, a job is a job, but this one is among the worst I have ever heard of. On the flip side, all the...

What kind of tug is this?

Flat, Dry Floor Great idea. Works great in a closed hangar. How about a sloped, wet ramp with alot of RF interference? The visual of a fueled Global or Gulfstream pushing that "toy" off the ramp and into the woods has me chuckling... I am not ready to trade a skilled ground handler on a tug...

    135 Certificate Holder

You may want to have your boss talk to an owner that has operated on and off a 135 certificate. The certificate can generate cash flow, however, the reduced value of the aircraft and all the compliance costs will most likely make the project a loser in the end. If there is anyone out there...

Does the aircraft have ADS-B onboard?

    Acass???

Going international contract rate is $800 to $1,000 a day. You can bet ACASS is getting that from the client. They have a rap in the trade as lowball outfit. No full time contract pilots will have anything to do with them.

    new G650 announced

Didn't see it in the materials, but another nugget is the BR725s 10,000 hour TBO with no midlife. The windows are also even bigger than they are now. Gulfstream knocked it out of the park, across the river and into the next county. I wonder if any of the other manufacturers are going to move...

    CRJ to Challenger

The real difference between the two is the paycheck. You will need to know NAT and MNPS. All the rest is easy.

    Signature

Better grab a spot at Hill before they are all gone. Or, better, ask the line guys to tug you to Hill for fuel and then back to pick up the boss... I am sorry to hear that Signature got that facility. I heard that a number of good operators were bidding on it.

    135.267 question

The way I have always looked at it is when did you leave rest and when does rest start again. Try telling the FAA that at 14 hours you dutied off and then "rested" on the plane for three flight hours flying Part 91. I believe there was a NPRM that was going to take all this to task, but it...

Second In Command in Florida Needed

OK I'll bite... Just what does: mean? Without a type ride of some description, what does this mean? A guy walked me through some PlaneView features the other day, and I successfully entered a flight plan, does this mean I "Passed Training on the G450/550"?

    Lighten up Francis....

All I can say is: normal speed is .82 for us. Any time we are on airways here in the east, we are at .78 or less for "traffic". I do 170 or 180 to the marker at IAD when asked, a frequent destination for us, but I will not break china because the controller didn't space properly or...

    JetDirect

My understanding is that chief among reasons Sentient acquired TAG was to get some management horsepower that is apparently lacking at JetDirect. I would say as long as TAG Management stays in place, things will shape up in the long run. The question is, will it be worth it to tolerate the...

    Question for PC-12 operators...

The tax benefits of 135 are overrated. The real tax benefit is writing down the first 50% of the value of the bird in the first 2 years. That will outweigh ANY operating cost deductions. The revenue that charter generates does not come close to covering the true operating cost when one...

    Question for PC-12 operators...

The above is very accurate. Quite often, the number that gets lost in the shuffle is the resale of the aircraft. If you are trying to operate an airplane ona 135 cert and getting good utilization, care for the aircraft goes down the tubes. The paint and interior wear out much quicker, the...

AMI Jet Charter/TAG 135 certificate revoked

Interesting that it was not AMI's home FSDO that put he suspension and revocation in on them. I can say that there will most likely be a move against one or two other operators to legitimize the action on AMI. I read that AMI gave the FAA everything they wanted, only it wasn't immediately...

AMI Jet Charter/TAG 135 certificate revoked

As long as Jet and Privateair do not have any Arabs with large stakes in their company, they should be OK. My understanding is this was all about investors with ties to terrorism, and TAG thought the gov't was bluffing.
