I suppose you have not heard of a thing called "INFLATION"
57K in 2007 is the same as 65K in 2015 dollars. So starting pay is less after the TA than it was in 2007. Period. End of discussion.
Dear Mr. Diesel,
You missed the comma after "Jesus". Your sentence should have been written as follows:
Jesus, I hope my son doesn't learn to write like this.
Additionally, some people do not appreciate the use of "Jesus" in such a frivolous manner.
Upon further reflection I have decided...
If you guys want pilots make it a 7 on, 7 off schedule or a
make it a 2 hour callout with the next up crew on airport standby. I really don't know your business but on paper that seems easy to do. most pilots aren't time building, they want their next job to be a career. I can't see myself...
Let's clarify. Are you on duty at 0800 and sitting at home and let's say you get called out at 1200 then your duty day still started at 0800? Or are you on constant "on call" but duty doesnt start until called? Sorry i used to know Part 135 rules but I am sure it has all changed.
If duty...
It appears the dc9 pay scale is the same for fo's and cpt's...is that right? I can get 13 days off a month on the dc9? So if I fly a trip, return to yip, start crew rest is that considered a day off? If not, it sounds like a good deal. How much are u starting dc9 fo's at? Thanks
You can't live in toledo and possibly be at the ops counter in 30 minutes.
so you are tethered to your residence for about 20 days a month, right? That residence has got to be close to kyip.
im not digging on it, just trying to understand
you guys are talking about a strike but I am under the impression wages havent even been discussed with the company. Is that because the company doesnt want an agreement unless there is concessions? Basically they arent trying to negotiate? If that is the case then why havent you all voted to...
Based on my observations you guys won't be able to get pilots in about 2 years. 1100 applicants is nothing. 1100 apps after 7 years of not hiring!!
Netjets is only letting about 1/2 get to the sim...down to 550. Some will fail the sim....down to 500. Others will get job offers but go...
Nja owner,
Sorry for questioning your motives. I flew charter and it can be scary....if only the passengers knew.
I'm curious how much more expensive netjets is verse traditional charter or even flight options.
Nja owner,
The pilots are productive but feel that they can't ask for a raise because the company can't afford it from a business standpoint. The fact is the company is profitable.
What heck is a nja owner doing on this site anyways? Kinda silly that you r even on here.
I am a helicopter pilot. In the Gulf of Mexico the helicopter pilots made 24K a year to start back in 1998. The pilots unionized and all the stories about how the rich oil companies wouldnt pay for higher wages or how the helicopter companies would all go broke were thrown about (just like some...
I could try corporate or netjets but the pay is vastly different. I'll stick with trying to get on with a really good part91 operation or a dtw domicile airline. Thanks!
