Just curious if any of you flying for the regional affiliates for United like Skywest, Atlantic Coast, etc have heard anything on how United's Bankrupcy will effect your airline. Are they going to change around their model with their ownership interest or fixed fee agreement? I'm curious to...
just got back from there
I actually don't like Key West, too "touristy" for me. We flew into MTH - Marathon "Florida Keys" Airport (Grantair is now "Marathon Jet Center" - still the same friendly folks), rented a car, and stayed a couple of islands up in Islamorada at the Hampton Inn. Couldnt...

If its an MD-80 and a direct flight, then you're flying mainline AAL. Flights 2803/2835?
Or maybe they have the aircraft type messed up, and you're on Chautaqua (known as "American Connection"), flying an embraer.

This summer when i was working for the airport we had you guys parking over in the economy lot which is down airport drive past the cargo area/coex hangar on the left hand side. give CRAC a call at 804 226-3000 though before you head out there cause they are known to shuffle...
JBLU's IPO was on April 12, or thereabouts - it was one of the most successful IPOs in recent history. Only a very small amount of common stock is available, the company retains the large majority of ownership. Incredibly solid company, good earnings and profit potential. Their greatest...
I believe your coworkers are right. ATIS is a function of ATC; a broadcast of pertinent noncontrol information from the facility to pilots. It is an hourly, human observation. When the tower closes, atis is turned off, and the asos is broadcast in its place. There is nothing in the AFD, b/c...

my question
So now naturally my question is, do you need an instrument rating to fly over the dessert on a moonless, starless night, assuming there is no adverse weather? According the posts above, this does consistitute as "instrument flight".

...seem to be a whole lot more reasonable. Thanks for bringing it up - I was looking for exactly the adapter that was mentioned. I pulled these five **LEGAL** uses for the product off that second website:

Delta has been trying to stomp out low fare competition in its "backyard" sense ValuJet in the early 90s. I believe there was a federal inquiry into anti-trust violations after this occured in 93 or thereabouts - since then Delta has been forced to compete with AirTran as much as it can afford...
Stock Prices
If you look back at companies like AMR, DAL, and UAL, its interesting to note that their stock prices soared before, during, and after the Gulf War. However, that was back when the market was not quite as nervous and volatile as it is now, and the airline industry was...
The best CEOs (airline, or otherwise) are those that are willing to admit that they don't know everything and don't have all the answers. They are willing to find the best people to work with them, from management down to line-level, and give them all the support, trust, and resources needed to...
