    Getting fired for not wearing a hat?

    I highly doubt anyone would be fired for not wearing a hat....probably several other things as well. However I would guess that he was on probation? If someone is a real tool and you wait till he is off probation now you are stuck with him. Im sure there is more to the story.

    Cant get through reinforced doors????? how often do you see the proper door procedures applied? I see flight attendants leave the door swinging open all the time while they are grabbing a coffee refill...the door only works when its locked.

    Turned down Air Tran 10 years ago

    I turned down TWA and right after that it was bought by AA....I was kicking myself! It turned out I dodged a bullet. NOBODY knows whether it will be good or bad. At least give it 3 years before you start kicking yourself.

    They do have a 2 year pro-rated training contract. Reserve when you are home-based is not so bad. They call and you have 6 hours to call them back, and once they assign you a trip with your commercial to work, they have to give you 16 hours notice.....bottom line your not on a real short...

    International Jumpseat and Taxes

    Normally you will not be able to get to the gate in international airports without a ticket. Usually start at the counter, allow plenty of time and expect to pay about $40.00. I also recommend being in uniform as that often helps go smoother in a foreign country.
