Help wanted ad in trade a plane

40-60 foot boats are not yachts, espescially in Ft. Lauderdale and you dont need a captain to operate. I can just imagine this "owner operator" sitting on his ass trying to boss some 120 ton certified Coast Gaurd Capt about how to drive a boat. He would probably do the same in the plane.

to anyone who has owned a small plane

All great advise above, and tarp seems right on target with realistic cost. I ventured the thought a few years back with a partner of mine and we were going to buy 3 planes... still couldn't figure out a way to break even on a good year...with one plane it would be even harder. Have a student...

    Flying to a NASCAR race...

Good to hear that. Alliance is a really nice facility and they do have a ton of ramp space. I guess its all what your used to. I wouldn't want to fly into that mess, but then again, I don't get the whole NASCAR craze anyways.

    Gulftstream Academy

I don't support or even get involved with the whole PFT issue and companies like Gulfstream. But, if you are getting out of the military, your GI Bill will pay for part 141 training. I looked into it briefly a while back, so don't know the qualifications, but seems you might be able to go to a...

    Flying to a NASCAR race...

Well be glad you didn't attempt tp fly into the Texas Motor Speedway for this weekends race. The weather has been pretty bad. I will tell you how it is here. On Friday's news they showed the drivers arriving at Alliance Airport. (For those that don't know Alliance, it is a major feeded hub for...

    Privately Instructing: Corporation??

LLC, Limited Liability Corp. I just went through this for one of my businesses. To form an LLC, you will need 3 partners. This is one of the requirements. I did it on line through a broker. Took about 3 weeks and cost about 800.00. If you go through a lawyer, it could cost anywhere from...

    Flight School Recommendations

172driver, Everyone knows where you stand on the issue by now. Please don't cram your idea about how to become an airline pilot down everyone elses throat as the way to go. If it works for you then great. Let us know when you get hired with another 400 hours. There is more than one way to skin...

    Training at Class B Airports

Flyboy quoted: "Flying out of the class D at Orlando Executive is the hardest airport to get in and out of that i've ever been to. This includes MCO. You can wait up to 30 minutes for IFR or VFR release. Not to mention being vectored 25 miles out for the ILS in beautiful VFR weather. You may...

    C152 wet rental rates

You would probably get a better response if you told us what area you are in. 152's go for 45.00-52.00 in the Dallas area, and should be about the same give or take a few bucks everywhere else.

If you have Microsoft Photo Editor on your desktop you can change the size of the pic by pixels or size. Just open the pic with that program and go to properties.

Coyote Hunting from a Super Cub DOH!

Very interesting subject. I have some land and pick off coyotes from time to time. The state has periods when they will pay you for the hides to try and control the population. Whoever can shoot a coyote from a cub, is one hell of a shot. The coyotes I see and shoot are not that large. More...

    Twin Insurance Requirements?

I know this is a pretty vague question, but is there a certain number of twin time to have before an insurance company would cover an owner? Specifically a piston twin, under 12,500GW? I know must FBO's want at least 250 tt, with 25 make and model and inst ticket. I assume that this...

high or low:what do you think?

Use both! The low and high wing trainers and pretty much the same. Slight pros and cons depending on who you ask and where, why they fly. I used both during my private and I think it gave me a better understanding of flight itself. I wouldn't swap every other flight but have your instructor give...

What scared you in an airplane?

Yes sir. Right after that happened, the Dr.'s told him he was going to lose a leg due to bad arteries (not because of the flight, just health problems) and that he probably only had a year or two left before a massive heart attack would take his life. He is still alive and kicken- with both...

    Who's that ?

MBNA is listed as the owner because they have provided financing for another company would be my bet. I'm sure they have their own aircraft, but do many searches on large biz jets with the n-numbers and most are owned by banks because they have the notes. Just a thought.

What scared you in an airplane?

...his head about 12 inches long and took 20 min to land in that condition. He worked for Delta so he knew aircraft, and thought there was no way in h*ll he was making it out that one alive. When they were still flying the convertable, he thought they were just free falling because of all the...
