JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

He may be under supervision at a hospital. Remember, people can be charged and be out free, on bond, pending trial. "In custody" also does not necessarily mean behind jail bars. He may be "in custody" at the local mental hospital, under police supervision.

JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

yes, this is called witness testimony and he brought it before a federal judge who found probable cause to charge the pilot formally. all fully legit the flip side is one FO, one off-duty captain, three FA's, and multiple members of flying public, and the declared emergency over the radio, was...

Years ago (1990-1995) Baron was (and prob still is....) a very stable company with alot of retired military guys who wanted to stay flying. Bases I believe, at that time were DRT, ABI, BWD, AUS, SJT, MAF, LBB. Flights were into Austin and/or DFW area

That is like saying the Titanic sold out of tickets and you had to get on another ship. Where do I sign up for the turned-down-by-ABC-but you will be hired by SWA later package please tell me [/I]

    Southwest Earns $152 Mill

Good job guys. I understand this is without the help of hedges. Also you are the highest (or right up there) paid pax airline pilots. So in light of the above, why does SWA consistly make money while nobody else does ?

Delta and TPG looking into AMR Corp bid

Frank those are all very exciting ideas. Don't forget that working at Starbucks allows you to not provide healthcare to your guys. The various VIP lounges typically have showers and I am sure you can have them shower there. While your guys are physically at the airport, they can be used to...

    SWA and the 737-800

my uneducated surfing of Flightaware shows no 737's nonstop to HNL from US except on-the-west-coast departures. (LAX, etc). Most all other departures into HNL are 757/767/A330/etc type stuff. Wondering outloud, being that SFO-HNL (OAK for SWA) and LAX-HNL are top routes for all the carriers...

    SWA and the 737-800

Good questions, ones that I don't have the real answers to. However, #1 - the route has not started yet so nobody knows what will be offered (if anything). However "experience" as in smiling FA's and on-time performance is better than galley grannies and late airplanes. All things being...

    SWA and the 737-800

RE: http://www.transtats.bts.gov/airports.asp?pn=1&Airport=HNL&Airport_Name=Honolulu,%20HI:%20Honolulu%20International&carrier=FACTS I am sticking to my guess that it will be OAK or LAX-nonstop-HNL. I believe the "Hawaii market" is different than a Dallas-to-Denver traveler who "accepts" an...

    SWA and the 737-800

This is the reason many of us are starting to leave this site. Bro, the OP asked a fairly easy and simple question, not a-typical of something asked over some beers. "Hey, when will you guys serve Hawaii" "Gee, Tom, I don't know/maybe in 6 months/etc". "Ah, ok, cool" I wish SWA the very...
