Ty, keep it simple. These guys messed up, got caught, and are going to get some time to think about it. I don't live in Fl., but I seriously doubt that other states would treat this any differently.
So, the obvious question to me , without reading any of the other posts is, do you want to look back on your life and wonder, " what if "? If flying for a major is your dream, don't accept anything else. You have the college background, you're just lacking flight experience. If you're looking to...
Are you kidding me? We're not talking about a couple of pilots with SOME alcohol in them. A glass or two of wine, a few beers, a couple of drinks...no one has a problem on this board with that. These guys were F.....UP! You say you don't have a family..no kids. Well, I do, and sometimes they fly...
You know, I wasn't going to respond to your original babble but couldn't resist after your second post. I think that if you're that miserable in Seattle, you're the kind of person that will be just as miserable anywhere you live. I bet you wake up pissed in the morning and carry that around with...
I'm there once a week. I couldn't disagree more. If you really feel that way, why stay? I've lived in a number of large metropoliton areas, and overnighted in most of the rest and without question, Seattle is one of, if not the nicest big city in the country.
Summer might be tough, but that's about it. We're getting spooled up for the Cass jumpseat program, so that should help. I'm based back in CLT now, but for the three years or so that I commuted as a reserve Capt. , I never missed getting to work. Hope that helps.
Having grown up in SEA and having been on the east coast for the better part of 20 years, all I can say is you're going to love it. Laid back city, tons to do, great place to raise a family if you're into that. Like the AWA guy said, don't come with attitude, don't drop so much as a butt on the...
Thanks man. You and I and some of the sane ones need to down a few when this is all over. You're right. I got tired of responding to all the senseless dribble. Still read the posts, just don't have the enthusiasm to argue anymore. As for the 737 Capt. that can't wait to slam the AWA guys....well...
Will you please point out to me where I said that I should move ahead of you on the seniorty list. Again, did I not say that a fence agreement is the only fair way to both parties.. A bag of crap?... Really.. You must not have alot of confidence in your CEO then. And I never said that my 20...
Did you read the entire post? I doubt it. If you had, you would have read that I think that a fence agreement would be fair to both airlines. NEVER did I say that I should move ahead of some 9 year AWA person. And as far as throwing us a lifeline... you either have a short memory or career or...
No, that won't work. What about us 20 year guys who aren't furloughed? It would absolutely give AWA super seniorty. If your idea of "fair" is to put a 20 year F/O at the 70% mark at U the same relative position at the combined airline, then you need to rethink your position. I am fairly sure...
Thank you. I just called a friend of mine to ask him what he's hearing on line and in the cockpit. He said no one is even hardly talking about it. Mostly a non issue. Anyway, the point is, it's a hot topic with an obvious amount of emotion tied to it. I sincerely hope that not one AWA guy is...
