Take it one step at a time, though. Buy things as you need them, so that you don't overequip yourself right off the bat. Take for example any movie about war. The new guy coming into the platoon is almost always wearing the most stuff, stuff that is great in theory, but that they will never...
8's on removed?
Since when?
They're still in there.
You can reference the most up to date PTS for Commercial Airplane here:

DC-3 stickers?
You mean squadron emblems with DC-3s on them?
I'd try the biggest local library you can find. You might even try one with a government documents section. Do some research on old squadrons and try and locate some old squadron emblems with DC-3s on them. Borrow the book and...
Interesting you should ask...
I had a bad clog in my ear and couldn't figure it out. My hearing was muffled and I got concerned, so I went to the doctor. He took one look in it and said that I had a wax buildup and that they should irragate it. The funny thing was that I had cleaned my ears...
There was a story I heard about a Lear 36 crew (Phoenix aviation) who had just enough fuel to get there from SFO. The winds changed on them halfway. They started to fully realize the fuel situation and the fact that they were going to run out, even if they turned back to SFO(they had gone far...
What if you are performing practice approaches VFR and the WX is VMC. The approach control clears you for the approach and says, "Cleared for the ILS, runway 27 - maintain 3000 until established, maintain VFR"
So you are instrument rated and the guy under the hood is not and he busts the...
I can't figure it out... Why would the FAA request an escort due to a bad squaker, especially when the pilots hadn't lost radio contact???
ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Two National Guard fighter jets escorted a Delta Air Lines plane back to Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport on Friday after...
Just to clarify one thing...
You will need to demonstrate Eights On Pylons and be able to calculate pivital altitude. The steep spirals are no longer part of the PTS for the Commercial ride.
Happy flying,

Does anybody know if there are any FMS simulators somewhere on the Web? I'm not talking about an actual, physical, FMS, but some sort of software version that has all the functionality of the real one.
Universal or Collins Pro Line 21 type stuff.
Thanks in advance,

Getting used to...
Granted, this board may take some getting used to, but I think that It works out much better. I don't like the fact that the threads are organized by popularity, rather than recency. other than that, it is my only complaint.

I read this once in the ALPA magazine. You can get a waiver as long as you can prove to the FAA that you don't have any more stones in your kidneys and that they have passed.
Hats off to you, as what you went through is very painful.
Good luck,

I just found out that ATP can do initial CFI. I know this wasn't the case two or three months ago, so does anyone know what changed?
Also, has anyone gone through this program? I'm getting ready to go to some program, but don't know which one to choose. Any help and advice would be...
The Atlantic Monthly article was written by Langeweische, son of Wolfgang who wrote Stick and Rudder. It is superb and looks clearly looks at the political situation surrounding the investigation.
I fly out of RYY and know some of the guys who fly for FlightWorks. Also know the owner. Very good group of people and a great company to work for. I'd go for it if I were you.
