Re: Bored to Death
I'm not a team player? What team are you on? You come here seeking someones approval to PFT and help degrade the industry and your saying that I'm not a team player? Thats laughable at best.
And don't you dare through out that garbage about "your trying to survive so you...
Re: The PFT Situation
In the last part of your paragraph you'll find part of a sentence which has the answer to your question. Here it is:belittle ourselves and our profession .
That my friend is what PFT does. Now let this thread die peacefully.
Just wanted to give a little more info for those trying to make a decision.
PSA will pay for your single occupancy hotel room during training.
You will be paid from Day 1 your min. monthly guarantee. Which is your 0-1year FO rate times 72 hours for reserve pilots.
You will also be paid Per...
Remember, in my post you read words like "concessionary", and "no vote from the pilot group".
And with the MEC's, I wonder WTF they get taught at leadership school in Crystal City. Because these past actions from many MEC's at different regionals leave alot to be desired.
We are probably...
The following rates for the coming RJs are from a "concessionary" contract that will be in effect untill 10/01/08. They suck and were not voted on by the pilot group. Meaning they were agreed to by the MEC without membership ratification. But with a few things that we were able to keep, you...
Chperplt,
Thank you. I apologize to you as well if I've offended you. This topic just gets me going.
On a side note. Its been driving me nuts all day cause I can't figure out what your name stands for. Is it short for "Chopper Pilot"?
Re: Re: Re: Psa
Skeezer,
1)The schedule change and jet orders have nothing to do with eachother.
2)Don't associate my dislike for the contract carriers with the pilots. I NEVER said anything about the pilots. And nor did I say anything about the world revolving around me. How in the...
Cherplt,
I stand corrected. Hopefully someday you're company can stand completely on its own with no affiliation to US Airways Express.
I called you a scumbag cause you called me an idiot for expressing an opinion. I think fair is fair, but hopefully you don't always insult those with...
Nobody bitched when you came back right? Infact I'll bet that most people were pretty happy to see you. And if there was a flowthrough at the time I'm sure you would have been welcomed back to the left seat.
Just because times are bad that does'nt give Mainline( a subsidiary of US Airways...
Ranger,
Your right about how some of the Mainline pilots would respond. Thats why they need to understand that they are in fact a WO'd as well. Once they figure that out then we might actually be able to accomplish something and get all the flying back within group.
I don't think its funny...
Ok cherplt,
Prove me wrong. Paint your planes in your own company colors, do your own advertising and sales with no more sucking off the US Airways Express n!pple and lets see how business gets. Scumbag.
Its funny how everytime a WO'd pilot voices their desire to have all US Airways Group flying accomplished by US Airways Group Pilots some contract carrier pilot will respond like this.
I wonder why that is. Oh, I know, its because they know their feeding off us like leaches.
Jet_Dreamer...
You pretty much answered your own question. But I'll break it down for you anyway.
US Airways Group "owns" US Airways, US Airways Shuttle, and US Airways Express. US Airways Express "IS" ALG, PDT, PSA and the not running MidAtlantic. NOT the contract carriers. The flying that is being...
Not for nothin guys, but its not cool to drag someones name through the mud on a public forum. He's not here anymore and we should just keep our "dirty laundry" in house.
On a side note, I had him for a sim instructor a while back and if most of you took the time to get to know him, he...
US Airways, US Airways Shuttle, and US Airways Express (ALG, PDT, and PSA) have all emerged from bankruptcy.
An announcment for 100 firm orders of a mixed fleet of RJs for US Airways Group should come in the next couple of weeks.
Hopefully the only "positive" affect on "other" regionals that...
To all concerned,
Don't expect the furloughs to last longer than 30 days. Interviews are still planned throughout this week and a few weeks to follow.
As it stands now latest intell is that only 8 FOs will be furloughed with 20 or 22 Capt. downgrades.
Bean,
If your gonna post a rant like that at least get it right.
Yes PSA was the lowest paid of the WO's. But amazingly During my first year I was still able to make just under $30,000 without working to death.
Last year 2002(from 5/15/02) the starting pay for a 30-36 turbo-prop FO was...
Anais,
You don't read too good, do ya?
Enjoy your 172 ya TOOL. Don't strain yourself too hard tryin to guess where I work and "who I really am". Ohhhhhh I better watch out Uhhh?
To everyone else,
Leave this one alone. He's a joke.
Chperplt,
I think (and I could be wrong) the consequences Dash was talking about are the direction that this industry will head in as long as pilots on the outside are falling all over themselves to get a job flying just ANYWHERE.
Because people like Anais don't care about who they fly for and...
Anais,
I just want to ask what would be your main reason for going to work at Mesa? Because if theres' ever been a time for pilots like yourself to look at the big picture, its now.
