Yes and no for me. For much of the enroute environment I often turn my iPad screen off.
It depends a little on which modern glass avionics, but for instrument approaches, I generally prefer the approach plate on the tablet and viewing the flight plan page on the GPS.
We rotate ours.
I’m in a flying club where we clean off the bugs after every flight. In the hangar we have a “Clean” and a “Dirty” box. When “Clean” starts getting low, the “Dirty” get laundered. We”ve been doing it this way for 7 years with no problem.
If you don’t want to DIY, the idea came from this guy.

Especially the Rockler clamp that made all the difference. I’ve used it on the strut ring of a 172 as well as underwing on an Ovation. No doubt it will work with most everything. And for more placement...
I went with a similar concept for a tie down mount. . My tie down clamp went through a couple of iterations until it was good enough to handle the 180 KTAS of a Mooney Ovation
It's about what happens when a sport pilot (or pilot on BasicMed) decides they want to go beyond light sport privileges and obtain an FAA medical. Upgrade aircraft. Get an instrument rating. Whatever their reason is.
Currently (although there is some disagreement about this), a sport pilot who...
I do IPCs for a friend in his Husky. It’s a challenge. My EFB’s “glass panel” page helps but it’s still difficult. But in my case, my friend knows what he’s doing.
When he upgraded his panel, it was a little more like initial instrument training. Extremely difficult because avionics errors...
Taught wrong? Maybe. Misunderstood is more likely.
All one has to do is look at an airplane manual, even an old one, for a constant speed prop to know that “over square” is only a problem when they are way off.
Prop first to increase/MP first to decrease is the same. It’s to avoid things...
Here's one of Mike's seminars on YouTube. He discusses approach and landing without going full rich. I linked to the beginning of the discussion of descent and landing. If that link doesn't work, it begins about 1:17:00 in.
And yes, it's maintain EGT through the descent and landing and only go...
What was he talking about at the time? Mike often talks about knowing the best power EGT number and setting the mixture for that rather than blind adherence to “mixture rich.” It’s in effect what is done for landing at high D-Alt airports (although most locals are guesstimating landing throttle...
