Any one Know where he was working? A new Opening on the seniority list. Just saying.
A Waukee man was arrested for a second time on Tuesday for an incident in which sheriff’s officials allege he believed he was enticing a minor to meet him for sex.
Scott Allyn Halverson, 46, of 990 S.E. Brentwood Drive was originally arrested Jan. 8 for enticing away a minor, an aggravated misdemeanor that carries a sentence of up to two years in prison. Waukee police arrested him again at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, this time for knowingly persuading or enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity, a felony. The new charge was made by federal authorities. Waukee police Lt. Greg Breuer said Halverson may have crossed state lines during a trip to De Witt to meet the person he’d been talking to online.
According to an affidavit, Halverson had several online chat conversations with a person “he reasonably believed to be under the age of 16″ between Dec. 4 and Jan. 8. Using the screen name of “airline_stud,” he asked the person whether he could be her first sexual experience, the affidavit said.
“He was met by state agents instead of a 15 year old girl,” Breuer said.
