I have an interview again this Thursday the 14th. They told me they are interviewing for an August 6th class and also for a possible class in September. I interviewed back in April. Guess they aren't making people wait at least 6 months as they previously stated. Hopefully, this time works out for me. Good luck to all interviewing.

AAY is Allegiant....

I think they're looking at July 5th for the next class.

Actually, they told me an August 5th class on the phone which doesn't make sense being a Sunday, so I assumed August 6th. They probably did mean July 5th. I will clarify it tomorrow and post what I find out.

Good luck! Go in strong...

Got the call today for an August 2 class that was supposed to have been on August 6. Can't attend that though because of my wedding on August 4. She said I'd be placed in a September class then. Congrats to all that got the calls.

This would drive me nuts. It's not like the first two days are systems and sim training, i wonder if their is anyway you can talk to someone at aay about this. One class behind here can matter a lot. I know you don't want to make odd demands right off the bat, this is a hard one.

Hey BRA, is your signature about MP?

Well of course it could be, but actually...i took this from some guy's post that works at jetblue on this forum. He posted it about another jetblue pilot. Every airline has one of these guys. And if you are not sure who it is at your airline..........you best look in the mirror!

"MP"......you must be a seasoned veteran at that place! He's been gone from there for at least 3 years i bet.

In Allegiants case, our barometer just left, now we need a new one! :bomb:

Great job!!! Any idea on likely bases for newhires in those classes? FL or NV? What about Laughlin?

Good question... My guess would be any base you wanted (outside of maybe RNO) you could get if not immediately, within a month or two. Rumors afloat about 3 new bases, so things may change.

Keeping my fingers crossed that this doesn't happen. I'm sure all of the new-hires will end up at one of the 3 if it does. Praying for SFB here.

Next class dates are:
August 2
August 30
Sept 27
Oct 25

12 per class they are saying. With a possible 5th class in Nov. Sounds like a lot of growth is about to happen.

I think you'll see enough FOs moving around that you will still have the base of your choice, or get the base of your choice within a few months. I know of 3 FOs in Vegas that want PHX.

Know of how many in SFB will be leaving for one of the new bases by any chance?

Slamming you when you interviewed for AAY? I wasn't aware you interviewed there. I knew you had some sort of relationship with Mesaba and that's all I remember. You on with Midwest now?

I wouldn't slam a company that has a pilot base in my backyard where I can be home everynight. I may have bashed you if you said you were interviewing with Pinnacle which I know many guys were back then. :)

Nope...no relationship with Mesaba whatsoever, never even thought about Pinnacle. I interviewed and ended up turning the job down a week before due to some family issues.

RP...ring a bell? looks to me you were slamming the pay and the ones that decided to fly for those rates. I am sure you didn't mention that to Mike D in the interview.

Apparently I'm not sure who you are then. Priorities have changed since relocating to MCO and getting married. Wife has a great job. It's about QOL and raising a family in the future and actually getting to see my kids grow up.

I've researched the company since I may have posted anything neg. about AAY in the past. Yes, I admit that was foolish and makes me look childish. I didn't know anything about them in the past besides pay rates and that does initially jump out at anyone. However, pilots have gotten raises each of the past couple of years and I've heard there is a good chance that is happening again this year. There is a lot more to it than pay as we all know. Your priorities change as you grow and learn what's important and certain life events take place.

I hope you feel better now though since you've proved I've made statements about AAY in the past and you've exposed that for my future co-workers to see.

Foolish? Yes. Posting on FI while drinking? Most likely. That was a poor decision on my behalf and I take full responsibility for my statements.

I sincerely hope your family issues have been resolved. Did you ever interview at AAY?

It's unfortunate that you've had to turn down both Allegiant and Midwest offers. I hope things work out better for you in the future. Good luck.

Just the AAY. Waiting to start at YX still..... best of luck in your future at AAY!

RP....I commend your accountability....If you worked at Indy, I remember you...We spoke several times in the jetway at ORD when I was taking a 170 from you.....I hated the treatment so much at RAH, I resigned....Our times are comparible....Did you have someone walk your resume in at Allegiant????
