This is Crap

Reuters) - Mesa Air Group Inc. (Nasdaq:MESA - news) said it had entered into a new code share agreement with Delta Air Lines Inc. (Other OTC:DALRQ - news) to operate 14 CRJ-900 regional jet aircraft as a Delta connection carrier for up to 10 years.

This new service is expected to begin in September 2007, the regional air carrier said in a statement.

This crap just keeps getting worse everytime I tune in to check up on things. I think I am going to stay on MLOA for some time to come. What an industry!:puke:

Your right Tim, what an industry and what a "union". ALPA is a failure....

Will these aircraft be in addition to the ones Mesa already has or will they take A/C they now operate for US Airways?

What's "crap" is that all of suckers keep sending 1.95% of our pay to Herndon expecting any of this to actually change.......

Bingo!!! I just love my 1200.00 a year Magazine!!! Yeppie!!!

Lets just hope that Mesa can get a much better contract! Especially in the work rules area!!

ALPA is a failure...

Not technically correct, Joe.

The union that was suppose to be looking out for our interests actually held us down while management raped us. The dispersion of "regional" flying was no accident.

ALPA is a failure....

By design ALPA is supposed to be run by pilots, for pilots. 99% of the ALPA structure is staffed by pilot volunteers and elected pilots. The pilots at the mainlines know this and they get involved, they volunteer and they vote. Meanwhile at the regionals most committees aren't staffed and we are lucky if we can get better than a 40% turn out for voting on anything other than a TA. It's a shame somebody else can't do everything for you while you sit at home and jack off.

You failed because you are ALPA.

They're going to be in addition my guess would be. US Airways isn't taking any of the 900s off any of our flying. Company hasn't sent anything out about this yet so we'll see if this holds true...

Immaterial - the national political structure is gerrymandered so that only a handful of mainline MECs actually run the union. The little guy's "voice" is just a politically correct illusion and is inconsequential in the scheme of things.

You failed because you are ALPA.

No. We've been sold out at the regional level by our union. Merchant is one of the few posters here who get it.

So much for the rumor that DL was going to fire Mesa for poor performance.

This shouldn't be a staffing problem at all for Mesa, right?

After they sell off Air Midwest, and the 140 or so pilots are forced over to Mesa, then Mesa's shortage will be "fixed" for about 24 hours. Then it will be back to same old same old.

Sorry to hear ASA is not getting them! But I am happy they are not going to Comair!

Your such a d@mn idiot. It would be far better for CMR to get them than for MESA, regardless of how you feel about CMR - but then you probably don't understand that. Would someone explain it to him.... but use small words so he can understand it....

You said it, Joe. This guy's hatred of OH is bordering on the clinically insane! I sincerely hope he's NOT an FFDO!!

OK, I'll try.

Skywest, Chautauqua, Continental and Mesa aren't servicing Delta for free.
If Delta used Comair, then Delta could keep all the profit.

Every dollar that goes to a Mesa shareholder or Republic/Chautauqua shareholder or a Skywest shareholder or a Continental shareholder - that is a dollar not going to a Delta shareholder. That dollar leaves the property forever and is no longer available to Delta pilots to negotiate back into their contract at some point in the future thus diminishing your bargaining leverage.
Your MEC and ALPA did that to you.

To shoot yourself in the foot is one thing but to shoot yourself in the foot, then boast that your smelly foot had it comin' is just retarded.

But hey, look on the bright side - he passed the Delta psych eval!

What does that tell you about the Delta psych eval? Think 737Pylt, Generally, FDJ2, Bill Lumberg, Archie Bunker...

Well said. Don't forget the downward pressure put on EVERYONES rates - yes even Deltas - when Mesa gets these planes. We can chock up another one for the "how's that brand scope working out" file............

Be careful 64J, you will end up on the "BLACKLIST" with me......

Don't worry, as soon as its out of BK Delta will sell Comair. There's a good chance Mesa will be the buyer. The games are just begining.

At that point, CMR will become the equivalent of Freedom II, another alter ego for the Mesa pilots and it follows, the Comair pilots.
