In the last 36 hours I have flown 12+10 RJAA to KSJC. We sat on the ground 30 minutes, then flew 3+15 to New Orleans. Then the onwers wife realize she forgot a hand bag in Tokyo, so we have to fill up and head back to RJAA .. 13+39. A break? Yes - we rest 5 hours then do RJAA to KNEW. 13+45

This is what my life has come to. Amazing. What did I ever do to deserve this? Well, got to run. We have a 0415 departure to EGPH...

?

Who do you fly for buddy? I'll wait till you get home for your response. Did you ever think of pulling the plug so say NO?

If GVJeff is a contract guy, and after he gets some rest just look at that check that will be coming in the mail...at $ 1500/day...

Ka-CHING!!!!!!!

:D :D :D :D

That's why the FAA needs to put tighter regulations on pt. 91. If a fatigued crew drives a GV into a building, how is that different than an airline crew doing the same thing with a DC9?

The FAA needs to get its head out of the sand on the fatigue issue. TC

Our 91 department strictly abides by 135 duty/rest requirements. They are written into our ops specs and signed off by our chairman. (in case any division prez wants to push the issue they can't)

Try Penske Jet in their GIVSP if you are into abusive trips. You may get lucky enough that when both of you fall asleep over French airspace, they'll send a sorty out to check on you. They're well versed in that area.

Safe KaChinging.........

Who really cares what the FAR's say. If its unsafe its unsafe. Stop the plane.

Doing what jeff said is nuts. The only way I think it could ever work is if he had an augmented crew.

Is 5 hours even rest? Its been shown that fatigue is like driving a car drunk. Remember the 747 crew in Guam. It was legal but was it SAFE?

Then say NO. You know what you'll probably get fired but you won't ball a plane up. And if the owners can send a G whiz back to RJAA to get a handbag they can get another crew to fly the trip back or pay for more contract guys.

You put yourself in that position.

If it had been me, I would have told the , obviously, moronic woman to stick the airplane and her handbag up her ass. Then if hubby said anything, kick him in the nuts, get in my vehicle and go home.
