    SWAPA "AIP reached with Company"

Very funny, but the poor Gal clearly represents the pilots after they signed that industry leading deal. It's a clear representation of what you will be doing in front of the company and an arbitrator/judge, when they start excercising what YOU gave them.

SWAPA Reps speak out against TA.

You better hope it's a little more than the FOs. Ie. the reason you need to be unified. Just an observation; while the FAT guys didn't have the contract that SWA had, whatever they had was vehemently fought for. Personal feelings about each other, need to stop at the water's edge. And, useful...

The pilot shortage is already here. Airlines cut flights.

Sorry, Congress or not, it's time for these scummy airlines to start paying a fair wage. It's been a long time coming. Pay people a livable wage and you won't have too many problems filling your classes. Keep treating, paying pilots crappy, and find yourself out of the business. It's that...

SWA lands at wrong Branson Airport

My thoughts precisely. I cringe when I see controllers trying to vector me inside the FAF. And, I hate it when they constantly keep asking if we have the airport in sight. Vector us to final and, when we're straightened out maybe we'll see it! IAN would be very useful in foreign countries like...

    AirTran DRC - judgement !

Did not do the LEM trigger. My goal with SA/DA is the heaviness of that first pull. I believe you lose that with the LEM. I consider the heavy first pull a good alternative to an actual safety. Probably like most of you, I'm not a big fan of safeties on handguns.

    AirTran DRC - judgement !

I own the HK P2000SK and love it for carry. Also own Glocks, but I feel more comfortable carrying the HK chambered due to its heavy (first) trigger pull. Plus, it's never ever had any kind of malfunction with any ammo.

    In Memory of Rich.

I'm saddened to hear about this. May the good lord give his family, friends, and especially his wife the strength to see this through. No amount of money, position, or whatever else comes with the burdens we put on union representatives is worth this. While his work with the union may not have...

    SWA LGA Captain Fired

A person with bullying syndrome or micromanagement syndrome; at best, becomes a huge distraction, at worst, can help cause serious mistakes. These people do not belong in a cockpit. It is essentially what is wrong with other cultures in the cockpit. The CA is not a leader, he/she is a...

    AA Contract UPHELD!!

Right on brother.... If more pilots thought and were as informed as you sir, we would probably be doing better in this profession. It's clear that you understand the court system and where you stand. You can see beyond and understand that even after a court sponsored abrogation, not all is...

    Delta TA-whos seen it?

You saw what? Spill the beans man.....

    DAL 717 Deal...

I agree, don't think the deal is dead. Fruition may largely depend on the outcome of the TA, however. No source, simply my intuition on the subject. Would not be surprised if some 319s were thrown in there as well. Just for good measure....

    Airtran wins MDW-CUN route authority

I agree, This is what I alluted to when the Airtran merger was announced. For now Airtran has the means and SWA has the name and brand recognition. You combine those two and you have formidable opportunities. If.....they get their way out of HOU, it could become very, very profitable for SWA...

JetBlue Passenger Put Unruly Pilot in Chokehold

Regardless of his background, I wish him and his family well. It is not a good feeling to watch a colleague in the industry with such a huge problem.

UAL Issues 11,000 Ipads to Pilots

I know mine would be broke or lost the first week I'd have it. I kid I kid....

    Ammunition for AT Arbitration

Oh the glory of your gloating is amazing! You already told your boss that it's your way or the highway? You already demanded of him to go back on his word, and announce to the world that this is a job cutting venture and not the other way around? He agrees with you on putting families on the...

    ALPA fails at JB

My suggestion, get a representative body protected by the rules of the RLA. If you don't like ALPA, so be it. But do get one. Barger isn't going to give two ratts' rear ends when, and if, AMR or SWA come knocking. He will take his millions and sail away on his yacht. You guys have a very...

    Airtran MEC voted no

Yes there is. Did you really expect the outcome to be any different? This would have been bad for any future merger/acquisitions. Possibly even for the other little known one, known as UAL/CAL. I say, good on the AAI MEC for saving its pilots from what appeared to be a steamroll job on their...

    Final Agreement reached

That all depends on what YOU are willing to fly it for. Never say never. If I was SWAPA king for one day, I would be trying to get pay parity even on C152s! Most times, once you give something up in the way of pay or QOL you may never see it again. If you guys go another round, you may find...

Why are USAir folk still making significantly less than everyone else?

It's very simple really. It's called "Divide and Conquer." Parker is only playing the hand that the pilots are giving him. I'm not defending the man, but that is the system we work under. Management almost always has the upper hand. Now, I will say this, if Parker really wanted to put an end...

Police: Pilot beaten in fracas with passengers

Absolutely! And keep your behind in the cockpit until proper authorities arrive. A pissed off CSR is not proper authority. You never, ever know how a person that's being removed is going to react. They could be embarrassed, intoxicated, or just plain angry. Personally, I'd prefer to keep the...
