    Help with ACA

mrvmo- Send me a private message with any questions that you may have concerning ACA. I interviewed this past week and I'm currently furloughed from another carrier. I'll fill you in on what I've been able to find. pappy

    ata

I now know of two other pilots that received applications without LOR's so your guess is as good as mine concerning this policy. Good news for those that do not have a LOR from a ATA employee. pappy

    ata

rican- This is the first ATA application that I've filled out so I couldn't tell you if there are any new changes. The essay questions are still there and they do take a little time to fill out. I sent my application in during the week of July 4th. Good Luck. pappy

    ata

The new policy at ATA is that in order to get a resume in the mail, a letter of recommendation from an ATA pilot is required when you send in your resume. I believe that this is a fairly recent change. I just got off he phone with ATA and my interview is scheduled for August 12th. They are...

    Another ACA question

Everyone- Thanks for the ACA information. Just scheduled my interview for late next week. Hope my wife didn't sell my lucky suit during the yard sale.:D Pappy

    Another ACA question

Two quick questions for ACA pilots. One, are the J41 and RJ's based at all the domiciles. And secondly, is there a seat lock for the first year or can you bid out of equipment and base during your initial year. I know, I know, don't take a chance of going to another airplane during your...

    ACA...anyone get called recently?

A friend of mine interviewed on the 2nd, got the call on the 3rd for a CRJ class starting the 8th. Everyone has a different story to tell. pappy

    US Wholly's sold out

InclusiveScope- Ask for and you shall receive- HELLO, THIS IS THE ALLEGHENY MEC CODE A PHONE FOR MAY 30, 2002. THE DELAY IN RECORDING THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WAS DUE TO THE COMPANY’S MEETING WITH THE NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE YESTERDAY, AND A SUBSEQUENT MEC CONFERENCE CALL LAST NIGHT. THE...

    Piedmont and Allegheny

Sim66 Every pilot that was furloughed from mainline was off probation. Mainline stopped hiring in the Spring of 2000 because of the UAL deal. The first furloughs occured in the Fall of 2001, hence np termination like here at ALG. Good luck to you. I'll be terminated in a few months from ALG...

    Allegheny Furloughs?

SeaBass- From what I've read, a total of 49 pilot will be TERMINATED by July. More to come by the end of the year. Looks like I'll have the 4th of July off. pappy

    PDT and AGC

Fifteen pilots just received their termination notice. They will be gone this Monday. The next group is slated to be terminated in July. Furloughed from USAiways last December and now scheduled to be furloughed from Allegheny this July. Something tells me that I need to stay away from USAirways...

    recalls by majors

UalExpress- I'm furloughed from USAirways and if I believed that I would be recalled by 2004-2005, then I'd be happy. However, most of the USairways furloughees believe that it will take longer for us to be recalled, if we are ever recalled. pappy

    Legacy Airlines?

EAP- Thanks for your thoughts. Here's where I stand. I don't have that magical 1000 turbine PIC time. If I stay at my regional airline, it'll most likely be a minimum of 3-5 years before I could upgrade. Now, if by some chance Legacy is able to start operations, I was "hired" as a 737...

    Legacy Airlines?

becket- If Legacy called and said that they had secured training slots, would you go? If you were working for a regional, would you take a chance? Anyone can answer. Just curious. pappy

    Interview/schedules question

C172Guy- When hired, you probably won't know your schedule for the first month or so until day one of ground school. Once line qualified, schedules are based on seniority. The most senior pilot in base and on a certain type aircraft will get to choose first, and so on. The most junior person...

    Free First Officers!

Mt first thought was to call or fax and tell them what I think about their company. But after second thought, I didn't want to stoop to their level. Unfortunately, there will always be companies out there like this because they will always have people willing o participate in "pograms" like...
