    Are you talking about the old D Con crew room with the huge glass walled smoking room facing the BA 777(facing the approach end of 23?)? The same crew room that Mesa crews would microwave some of the nastiest smelling things known to man and then DH for half price? I miss that crew room.

    There's lots of ex-Chicken at NetJets...Jimmy(the ex-wrestler) included!! I'm not there but know one well and others just from flying with them at the Chicken. Feel free to PM me, I think I know where to lead you to ex-Chickerners that are there and enjoying it.

    Wasn't it Grant with his cane that sold the Chicken to JO? INT was shutdown by JO because that was an "old Piedmont" commuter haven to CLT. All sorts of other places were such down by JO in eastern NC. I remember hauling around a mainline CP between CLT-HKY! Does USAir even serve SOP...

    Looking at my first paystub from the Chicken as a newhire FO on the Jetscreamer in 1999 I was making $20.43/hour. If I recall, JO wanted FOs to take a paycut to $13/hr or something and become a EMB-145 base or something.

    You serious?? Alot of senior guys at CAL don't even know who XJT is and what we fly. Now they might, after 10 years of growing now shrinking. They voted in a substandard contract in '97 while letting their scope get loose, then they voted in a concessionary contract in '04...good luck in '08...

    Because of the XJT branded flying, it's suppose to be a focus city or something like that. I doubt the RDU base will happen due to the competition with AA which will mean just through flights or whatever you wanna call them. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say most newhires can expect...

    The only thing that I have close to that is calling BA's 777 into CLT a "speedturd"...after calling in the "times" Ed laughed when I was summoned to his office in the trailer with Matt F. We smoked a few butts together still laughing about what I had done.

    The CLT ramp is so quiet now and somewhat boring without all the Jetstreams racing around the concourses to spot 2! Many fond memories and learning experiences under the "Carolina" call sign.
