How can KAL still be hiring?

Because for every 50+ people that actually make it to the interview, 1 gets hired

    Classy GoJet Pilots

A few years back I had a Eagle crew pull the same thing except in reverse. It was Christmas Day and we were half way to the hotel (20 mins one way hotel to airport) and the van turned around. Oh crap. Now when we got back to the airport, the crew wasn't even in sight. We waited another 30+ mins...

    My Dream Job is Posted

I worked there about 10 years ago, on the Metro. Yes, it is a $hitty operation but the did one (and only one) thing I liked. They tracked parts and the avg. fail time and replaced a commonly failing part before it actually failed. A great way to keep up reliability. On the other hand the...

On NPR - What makes a good airline pilot

Ahh so much crap I have heard spewed on NPR. These self appointed acolytes try to "educated the masses" by showing only their viewpoint (and left leaning it definitely is) with half-assed, cobbled together information. These are usually the people that have advanced degrees but need a manual to...

I thought this was gonna be a thread about the 727. All others can shut the *cuk up.

    Man Laws...Pilot Laws

Thou shalt not charge incidentals expenses to another crewmembers room without expecting an a$$kicking. Thous shalt declare mini-bar usage when checking out or otherwise prepare for the wrath of the rest of the crew.

    Brazilian airlines

    D) learn how to fake your logbooks so you get hired. Seen this one too many times. Not to mention I was in class last year with a guy that claimed he had all sorts of time from one of the Brazilian carriers. He was bounced from class for not even knowing the basics.

    Pilot Taxes

The problem is they will assign you a rep and most of them don't understand aviation. My first go-round with 'em I got lucky and got a guy that knew the ends and outs (for the most part) of international per diem. The second guy I got was a blithering idiot. My advice is, get a descent aviation...

    Balanced Field Length, V-speeds

No, you want to reduce your V1 on a contaminated runway. Takes more distance to speed up to V1 and may take more to slow down. IF I had a short runway, that is excalty when I would want to reduce V1.

    US Military Cargo Outsourcing..Unbelievable!!!

The majority of civilian AMC flights do not go into war zones. They going into the staging area and then the Air Force moves it. I have done many flights to the staging areas. The flights that do go into war zones can and do get insurance for that specific flight. I am not happy that foreign...

    Ground Crew to Picket Southwest

Last time I checked he US military has not ever turned a profit. Don't even get me started on waste in the Armed Services. If you want the 121 folks to do the same as the military, then lets start by being 100% goverment supported.
