    Primac and Wiggins

Primac & Wiggins Called Primac and talked to Ann. She said they are full of pilots for this winter. Apparently business is slow and things are looking a little dark. Sent a resume to wiggins and got the "we are not hiring at this time," deal. I am currently 2000TT and 1000ME hanging onto my...

    Anyone Know ALG's Plans?

Hey, I am in the "pool" at Allgeheney, pretty deep into it too. Was wondering if any insiders might know ALG's plans for hiring from the pool. I like my current job but I am not sure it is worth it to stay here a year untill ALG pulls me from the pool. Any two cents are apprecieated. -Dog

    any chance at comair???

    any chance at comair???

Man, all they said was in the "near future." I take that as six months to a year. Michelle said she would keep me informed at least once a month. I'll probably stay 135 for now since things are going to pick up in the spring and go to ALG when they call. -Dog

    any chance at comair???

I'm going to talk to our pilot who had an interview at Comair last thursday. I think he has about 1800TT and about six months of 135 experience. Anyway, I am sure he has an idea of what the deal is at comair in the near term. I want to go to ALG but who knows how long i'll be in the pool -Dog

    Commutair Class 4/16/01

Yea, I'm the Mac Dan Dude. I really like my job now even if it is pushing twin pistons. I dunno, It's probably a bad move to take a job there for me. We get paid very well to fly pistons. Good luck to you though. Maybe a bunch of us pilots should get together and buy the place? Who owns their...

    Asa Info

will be interesting to see if ASA will make the furloughed pilots give up their ##. Would make it easier 135 transitioning to 121 like my if they did. -dog

    Instrument Question

Ok, I re-read the question and would like to revise my answer. I only started going down to 100 above TDZE and to like 50 above if i see the red lights on an ALSF-1-2 when I had like 100 actual under my belt. Before that I was not comfortable doing such low stuff in my 182. (I fly bigger stuff...

    Ifr Training

My instrument training was almost all actual in that I learned from sitting in the right seat and observing how it is done in the real world. This made my training much less intimidating because I knew what to filter out as excess information and what was essential to a real world flight and the...

    Instrument Question

In my company if we are part 91 we shoot the approach. I have always gone down to take a look in personal flying also. It's always tight but half of the time I make it in....yes legally. Remember if you see the Zipper you can go down to 100 above TDZE. From then it's your call. If you can...

    buying multi time

I second the recomendation for airnet, we do a lot of charter work for airnet and all their pilots seem very happy. Only down side is that you don't always get based where you want in the begining. You could try buying an inexpensive twin if you have the cash. -dog

    Regional Pay

OK, I know that comair pays around 20 to start and then around 30 second year....same thing with ASA. Anyone know what Allegheney and Piedmont pay, I know ALG will start around 30 but where does it go from there? Thanks, Dog
