Red believe me it hurts.
The goal originally was to exit BK with the CBA intact. In other words, don't change any work rules or touch Section 4 - Compensation. At the end of every LOA, the CBA remained "untouched". BK is an unpredictable and unforgiving arena, one LOA led to another but the...
We are currently stuck in the 3/2011 pay table found in LOA 21. We have been working in this table for a loooooong time.
We move to the 7/2011 pay table found in LOA 21 on 1/2016.
We move to the 1/2012 pay table found in LOA 21 in 1/2017.
We move to the 1/2015 pay table found in LOA 39 in...
Preliminary info looks like it is working. Frontier just had its best ever quarter in terms of revenue. We won't really know if it is working for a little while but Frontier has slowly trained the passengers to book on frontier's website and Indigo plans on growing outside of Denver. We just...
A few folks at F9 have been buried in labor issues for a number of years now. We are attempting to resurrect our in-house union from the dead after being raided by the IBT.
I am wondering out loud if we can, at a later date, create an LCC union with three or four Local unions. It would be a...
I looked at the lists of mandatory retirements available online (accuracy unknown) and AA shows approximately 3700 mandatory retirements in the next 10 years. You will need quite a bit of growth and a lot of bypassers to move up the list 50%.
I took a look at the retirements at AMR and it equals about 3700 retirements in the next decade. At that point you would still be an FO absent a substantial amount of growth considering the current list has 9600 pilots.
You are right, we deserve a lot more than we have gotten...from the IBT
JT has done more for the F9 pilot group than anyone on property (With JS a close second or virtual tie). He will drink for free as long as I am around and he deserves a huge thank you (along with more than one apology) from...
Probably not until a Frontier IPO. Indigo didn't get into this just so they could merge with an airline they just punched out of. The Indigo/F9 experiment is going to take a couple years to develop.
FAPA 2.0 will be run by a completely new group of pilots. Several of the current leadership are burned the f out after dealing with the past 26 months (some have been dealing with it for the past 5 years since we filed BK.)
Every committee will need to be rebuilt. We are talking about dozens of...
Grey, you go from very loud to very quiet and vice versa at the most opportune times. Why don't you take a break from being a BK expert and go back to defending the honor of your fellow YX friends that lied and stabbed 600+ pilots in the back.
Regarding the holdback and F9's BK. Some airlines...
Target Date funds are filled with Mutual Funds that do not sell as a stand alone investment. The various families of funds (Vanguard, Fidelity, et al) take the least popular funds off of their retail platform and bury them in target date funds found in employee sponsored plans. With investments...
Grey you took the time to change your avatar but you haven't responded to my post regarding the Midwest words vs the Midwest actions.
Please chime in about our arrogance now that you actually know a small percentage of the facts surrounding the situation.
I think we need a history review here...
First and foremost, the YX gents were welcomed with open arms by the Frontier Pilots. We didn't have anything to do with who was hired back then and we won't really have anything to do with who is hired in the future, but we did indeed welcome them. Take...
Who knows, I wouldn't be surprised if the C-Series is cancelled outright. The concept is basically dependent on a large Air Canada order later this year. They only have 170 firm orders at this point, after more than two years of marketing.
I am also unsure if RAH can operate the C-series (the...
We have no idea what we are going to get with the investor, but we know exactly what we have with the IBT. The short answer at this point is "yes" we are better off with the investor due to the fact that ANYTHING is better than the IBT. Especially this Local.
I believe we could have done a much better job working together. Honestly anything is better than what the IBT has provided them but I don't think it is fair to call them blind. They have been led down a road to failure by an E-Board that has failed in every metric.
The RPC was a last ditch attempt by the Frontier pilots to maintain some form of actual representation.
We approached the IBT and asked for our own Local. They initially said "maybe" but then realized they had a 2000 - 700 advantage in the voters so they eventually said "no way".
We...
I think this is mostly true. Indigo doesn't really want to operate an airline as evidence by their experience with Spirit. They made an investment, achieved a return on that investment, and punched out.
We have been catching a pretty violent beat-down at Frontier since the spring of 2008. This...
I am pretty sure this will be a topic of yet another IBT lawsuit against the Frontier pilots (the IBT likes to pick and choose who they represent based upon whatever serves the IBT best). The Eischen Award provides more than one mechanism to unwind the SLI, but the real justification is actually...
