The responses to this inquiry are the reason we can't have nice things.
P.S., UAL almost lost a 747 on takeoff from SFO after an engine failed and the female FO got within about 150' of terrain. I doubt she was military, she probably would have been a competent pilot. . . . and, no, I'm not...
The ACARS can be programmed to report times on many criteria;it's up to the Company which metrics to use. For example, AirTranz used aircraft movement to track departure times, but Pilots got paid from L1 closed to L1 open. That way, we got paid for any pushback delay- ramp congestion, late...
Bubba wins, Game, Set and Match. :D:D:D:beer:
Floppy loses . . . Summer School. :erm::erm::erm::mad::mad:
Like Argentina, Cuba, and North Korea?
No S#it. . . . . Bring back PNS, MLI, BMI, GPT, CHS, SAV, DAB, PHF and all the other places where we were making money kicking Delta's butt out of ATL.
I hear ya, but if the guy was a new hire, I'd cut him some slack. They're often taking a pay cut and don't always understand the limits of their new benefits or realize the need for mutual aid.
I always participate in these programs, too, but I decided to make a contribution to this fellow...
15 yr lazy FO. Could have held CA 6 months ago in base as a reserve CA, but as a commuter, I prefer my Tue-Thurs schedule. 500 hrs block $150k. Flying 520 block at the Tranny as CA was 180k. Not complaining, that's what I chose to make, flying a minimum schedule. Been pretty happy, no one on...
:rolleyes:I don't understand why you two (or one) are so obsessed with SWABubba but it really doesn't add to the ambiance or decor of this place . . . just sayin'.
Thanx, but I don;t know him personally, just by reputation. The last time he ran for an AT Union leadership position he wasn't elected, I think he was viewed as not being hardcore enough for the times. We wanted Genghis Khan, or Vlad the Impaler, but they were no longer on the seniority list. :D
It's not the place I'm talking about. And it's certainly not guys like you. It's just that there is a high concentration of folks that I flew with as a 717 FO 12-14 years ago that I don't relish the thought of flying with again.
ATL is to FAT pilots what PHX is to OSW.
There is a reason that many Pilots have chosen not to return to ATL.
'Nuff said?
;)
PS., went to sign up for SPC and noticed that at least 5/15 SPC committee folks are former AT.
Actually he has been, at various times, Union President (NPA, predecessor to ALPA) Chief Pilot (AirTran), Assistant Chief Pilot (SWA).
He is generally regarded as a fair person who would tell the Company when they were wrong (hence no longer Asst CP) but would also tell the Pilot when he...
