I moonlight as a porn star, so I'm set.
but still, I'd argue that a union provides more protection than not having one at all. I know it is not gonna keep my my job no matter what, but some is better than none. Surely you can agree with that right?
so let me put it to you this way then...
warlord, what about all the QOL stuff? is that not important to you? sure they met industry standard cash, but is money all we care about?
QOL is important to me, so important that I want a union to help fix them.
how else do we fix QOL? seriously, what other option is there?
most...
this is what is going on. they company calls after the first 10 hours, so they say that they can do that because they now have the "lookback rest" of 10. I believe an ACP said something like "all that matters is having the lookback of 10"
but this does happen all the time, and we put up with...
It does seem like we are blatantly violating the FARs. how is this being allowed? In my years at flex this has not really been addressed by management. have they ever come out and talked about it?
sincerely,
confused & restless
Good lord walsh.. maybe I'm a manager at some chain like walmart and I want to transfer to seattle. maybe I am a ramper for UAL and I want to move to vegas.
plenty of other business offer job transfer options. the point is, it should be easy for flex to do it since they airline us to work...
well, yeah that makes sense. it is not what we do around here tho. they use the "lookback" principle, so as long as you can "look back" 24 hours and see a 10 hour uninterpreted rest block, then you are good to go. So, for example you get in at 10pm, with a 4pm assignment the next day. they...
wow you are so closed minded and misinformed...
i dont know of many FBO's with a Mcdonalds next door, and I cant carry 7 days of lunches with me.
and as far as bases go, have you ever heard of life changing? maybe some guy's mom died and he wants to move back somewhere to be close to his dad...
flops is still in contract negotiations, so it depends on the final agreement they hammer out. they might not be trying to get 100% health care. that stuff is all kept confidential until they finish all parts of the contract.
Here's a scenario that could happen. You get into seattle at 4pm, and you are told that you are flying to NY the next night at 10pm. so you are doing a red-eye flight. so, you plan to stay up until maybe 4am, then sleep until mid afternoon or something, whatever you think you need to be...
Hiya TWA. Something I want to point out here, which I think a lot of Flex folks overlook. You agree that you want changes at flex? or that flex needs changes? whatever sounds better... and yes, there is a new committee to look at duty/rest stuff (i didn't know they started yet, so great)...
That guy is an idiot and should be beaten in an alleyway. Talk about suck up. I'm glad that money is the most important thing for him.
he should be thanking all of his fellow pilots who stuck their neck out and fought publically for better pay.
yeah agreed, not too many people came out and sucked up with a "I love this company, we dont need a union." Nowhere near as many that have during the last big push years ago. I think the silence means there are a lot of union supporters out there. I really hope that we are getting close to a...
