The military did the same thing a while back with a C-17, there is even a pretty cool video. Only difference was one runway was 3850'x100' and the military base was 12,000'x200'.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that the braking problems that the 100 had carried over to the 300 with respect to the anti-skid system not cycling correctly.
Fella's slow down here on the model bashing. Their are many many emerging markets in the US that this airframe would fill. There are companies and people that currently operate old TP and pressurized twins that have wanted to upgrade to a TP but haven't had the opportunity for many different...
And here is more info on Mr. Landolt, I thought he would have had his Restricted Radio Ops Permit earlier?

Yeah...B19 where is that guy. Boy he's awful quiet when his company on a pedestal tumbled.
This in no way or fashion a dig, or any other perceived snub towards the hard working LINEpilots at Avantair. Hey if your management...well that's another story.
What ever happened to that antiunion management guy on here that was from Avantair? I am pretty sure that management wrecked this ship, they usually do.
Here is the video from Bagram, something went horribly wrong. RIP.

Not being a mechanic, do you have to be a Part 145 facility to do heavy checks or use the aircraft manufactures maintenance program. For example if a leasing company needed maintenance done on stored aircraft in the desert and it wasn't attached to an air carrier certificate?
Hopefully this is classroom exercise in futility and not a realistic scenario. I hate to break it to you but we have FMS for this kinda stuff these days. Hopefully there is no wind to have to worry about calculating the correction for either.
Here is a hint, draw a square 2 units across and...
It was Civilian Pred guys not Mil guys, mostly 500 hour wonders. My buddy said its funny when he worked there, when everyone talked of flight time especially the 500 hour wonders, it was "I have 3000 hours, only 500 manned". Real flight wasn't important because nobody had any....so it could be...
I had heard that there were a bunch of UAV Predator pilots that were going to Sheble to get their CFI's to appease the FAA. I had also heard that when they got back they still had no clue about instructing or the learning process.
After the C-17 landed at the wrong airport I am not sure if them 17 boys are all squared away. Back my in my day it would have ben an a$$ chew'n and AC would be a wing man again if he was lucky, in heavies I guess that would be the equivalent of a FP.
