    SKYW - XJT earnings

    Here is the 2013 3Q 10Q filing: Summary: http://biz.yahoo.com/e/131107/skyw10-q.html Full filing: http://yahoo.brand.edgar-online.com/DisplayFiling.aspx?dcn=0001104659-13-082092

    SKYW - XJT earnings

I assumed that you had linked the 3Q 10Q which breaks out profit/loss for each business segment. The press release you posted is just a consolidated summary for Inc as a whole. Like it or not the XJT side of the holding company has not been profitable for some time. You are naive if you think...

    SKYW - XJT earnings

Where are you seeing a profitable XJT in that report? To me it looks like that segment of SKYW, Inc lost $6.1M.

    SKYW - XJT earnings

No, that isn't what he said. He said that XJT made a small operational profit, which isn't the same as, you know, actual profit.

What do you pack for a trip?

I commute to reserve, so this load out is not at all light, but here is what can fit in a 22" rollaboard: Work clothes: 2 uniform shirts, 1 uniform pants, 2 pairs black socks, black sweater (winter), 6 undershirts, 6 underwear Personal clothes: 1 pair jeans, 1 pair shorts (summer), 3 shirts...

    LASA CRJ2 Reductions

19 by the end of the year, mitigated by FTDT and attrition.

    LASA CRJ2 Reductions

Not really; there's still 13 displacements assuming everyone wants to stay in ATL.

    LASA CRJ2 Reductions

I suppose that depends on how many voluntarily bid for ATL 700. I imagine some will do that instead of backsliding on the 200. Some may bid IAD, DFW, or DTW to hold a line instead of being pushed back onto reserve. The good news is a net increase of 20 Captain positions system-wide, but I...

    Mitsubishi MRJs Delayed Until 2017

ANA, TSH, etc have orders on the books before SKYW. They will see their deliveries pushed significantly and may now have a gap in their fleet replacement plan between the E-Jets and E2s. The E2s don't arrive until 2020 IIRC.

XJT "Best of the Best" (or not?)

Yeah, that was kind of my reaction as well.

    SkyWest, Inc. Q2 2013 Resluts

Yeah, I was wondering where he got his numbers.

    SkyWest, Inc. Q2 2013 Resluts

A Re-slut, per Urban Dictionary: A person who, at one time was a slut, then stopped the sluttish behavior for a period of time, then restarted the sluttish behavior.

    SKYW MRJ Update

SKYW firmed up the MRJ order well before the E-Jet and E2 orders. The MRJs fall right in between those Embraer orders.

ASA August CR7 Premium Open Time

This isn't at all a new tactic. They've been fooling people for years.

Possible XJT JCBA by Sun, July 21st 2013?!?

I have to say that I agree. While they qualified their prediction they had to know the expectations they would create.

What you need to see in the next XJT contract?

Fair enough. I did misunderstand the situation you described. That does suck and I hope we have stronger language preventing that many consecutive overnights out of domicile.

What you need to see in the next XJT contract?

This guy gets it. In any case, focussing on specific details isn't very wise. Wait for the TA and vote on the total package. Until then let's not negotiate in public.
  18. centralpilot

What you need to see in the next XJT contract?

A day trip followed by a 4-day isn't a true 5-day trip. As a reserve it would be wise to pack for 6 days every time GDOs don't force a shorter stretch. Real 5 & 6 says really suck.

Possible XJT JCBA by Sun, July 21st 2013?!?

That does not mean that the QOL gap between the senior and the junior should widen at every opportunity. At some point you've got to spend a tiny bit of negotiating capital to make reserve life suck less. It is always going to suck, but there is no reason for it to be as bad as it currently is.

Possible XJT JCBA by Sun, July 21st 2013?!?

Oh, also 1/2 of your days off in the month should have been golden days per MOU 9. If 4 GDOs on the reserve line were overlapped by vacation, then of the 8-9 off days required by section 12, 1/2 of them should've been GDOs. The company should have designated 2-3 days as inviolate (company...
