Skywest to buy Horizon assets only but deal is several months away. Nothing to happen till there is a Q400 payscale in place. Skywest is only offering CRJ rates to fly it.
One thing I've learned when I was an F.O. was that anytime a Captain said, "I'm laid back, blah, blah, blah", they were anything but; usually a real tool they were.
Jerry is screwing with you. He wasn't talking just about pay rates. I've seen Jerry's take on compensation in writing. He conciders the premiums on insurance that Skywest pays for you and its contribution to your 401k and countless other things I can't recall from that list of his, as...
Jerry told SAPA that he would like to open discussions for a Q400 payscale sometime in the near future. Nothing has happened yet but I cant see us flying them at CRJ rates since getting the Qs would only effect afew hungry that want the quick upgrade and most of us dont need to fly it or give...
The U.S. needs to rethink it's stance on sleeping for controllers and pilots.

Skywest does all their RJ training at Flight Safety in SLC. At one time years ago when there was alot of training at Skywest, the'd send pilots for PCs only, not new hires or upgrades to other Flight Safetys. Flight Safety moved Delta's 737 sims out of SLC, so it's all RJ sims now.

No flamebait here but I think folks are getting this idea from what the CAL ALPA Pres said recently. He said quote, "there will probably be provisions made for 70 seat flying in the next contract." (he was referring to this flying being done by the regionals and not UAL/CAL and was making this...
An Expressjet Embraer ERJ-145 on behalf of United Airlines, registration N11187 performing flight XE-5916/UA-5916 (dep Mar 17th) from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Akron/Canton,OH (USA) with 43 passengers and 3 crew, concluded a visual approach via a right hand pattern landing on Akron/Canton's runway 23...
