JB pilots say no to alpa/Barely

Yes at least they are in a position to bargain and vote. Lets see a substantial pay raise, benefits and QOL sounds okay to me vs. a preferential interview or complete staple, if lucky.

JB pilots say no to alpa/Barely

JBPA will never happen. This pilot group will never pony up the initial cost and assesments of an in house drive. Good luck with it as I am sure all of us that have been involved with and supported, the last two drives- well we are exhausted. I'd support it but will play on the side lines from...

JB pilots say no to alpa/Barely

Wait and see what ALPA does do to J.B. pilots, should a merger or aquisition take place between JetBlue and an ALPA carrier. Good luck with that one as ALPA legal has all the ins and outs of the P.E.A. and the loopholes they include. That will be some serious payback. Oh but wait we have a 2...

    Airtran? From a JetBlue Pilot

Hey Bud You know me and I know you, don't buy into the management B.S. There is no guarantee to senority integration without a CBA. The PEA is an unproven contract in the court system. An arbitrator could go either way. I can tell you there are no guarantees but CBA in today's world will offer...

    JB orders A321's and A320NEO's!!!!

No sorry no growth here, just listen to todays webcast-the total deliveries is a net loss. Union busting 101, but sorry weve seen the playbook. Are you for real.

    JB orders A321 and A320NEO!!!

No unfortunatley this is not great news for Jetblue pilots. All this is, is a defferal tool without a penalty attached by Airbus. The net gain is lower than the expected deliveries through 2018. Converting orders to 321's is not a gain. The company is a master at the shell game which in this...

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

We have many ex-TWA folks on board for ALPA at J.B. They dont get caught up in emotions, just make sound decisions. They are all part of the suit against ALPA, but yet support ALPA at Jetblue. Ask your self why would they support the devil after being " screwed so hard"?

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

You must work at a different J.B. because your 7500.00 per year would equal about $375,000.00 per year. I highly doubt that. Get your facts straight about dues.

\ Been there and done that thing brother in Gulf 1. It is our battle and we need your support.

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

Ask any AirTran or FedEx pilot, they will give you a straight answer.

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

ALPA did not solicit us, we went to them. They make no promises other than what we can expect. I think Lee Moak is an upstanding person and a straight shooter. Of course he is another former Marine. We know the pit falls and short commings. We all need to band together for our pilot group and...

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

Its already started my friend. They posted the ALPA NMB filling on the J.B. website and are taking comments from all the work groups. Funny though the pilots are geeting alot of support from them. The F/A's have their own campaign going on. Well see how it plays out in about 90 days after a vote.

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

Sorry but you are misinformed poor management started with Steve Wolf and continued for years until Glen Tilton. Greedy management along with poor business decisions caused UAL to faulter. Now with CAL I think they will once again become a power house. The management is the key.

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

Totally agree with you about SWAPA and its success. You have to look at their managements role and acceptance of a union. They do it right! No doubt- now look at J.B. management, they have clearly stated they will not support a union in-house or other. That my friend is the biggest difference in...

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

Unions don't protect pilots from furlough. A good management team with vision and buisness savy have a chance. Anyone under the illusion that a union can avoid a furlough in tough economic times or national crisis ( 9/11 ), are clearly misinformrd.

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

What is better is a perfect world, where management and employees unilaterally work together. Both have their needs met for profitabilty and compensation. Unfortunatley the airline business doesn't operate on that notion. Management has fiscal duties for share holders, pilots have responsability...

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

Whats to stop that under our current working conditions? You have no idea the company has proposed a " scope clause: that allows the company to create or buy a alter-ego carrier with 78 seats or less. 78 seats umm maybe a E-170 vs. the E-190? Right now they could sell off the E-190 and the crews...

Jet Blue Pilots Files with N.M.B. for ALPA Representation

You try working under a " Direct Relationship", that points one way-towards management. This type of collaboration has been tried and tried again. We tried the in house route with plenty of help from SWAPA and APA. Now it is time to regain what has been lost over time. ALPA has the resources and...
