    HAL neos in 2018?

They'll be parking the 767's, and who knows how it will affect the 717 flying. If the NEO's pick up peak interisland flying prior to the transpac leg, you can plan on a bunch of 717's being parked. Also, with interisland demand dropping as we implement outerisland flying to the west coast, I...

    HA - Latest System Bid

Yes we do. So how much would it take in the db package to make up for a company contribution less than half of industry standard? Remember, those in the b plan getting less than 15% were the youngest & most junior with at most 5 years longevity when this plan was created, so we all have very...

    HA - Latest System Bid

For the guys who were here during the bankruptcy, Retirement is going to be number one. We have captains hired in 99-01 who's company contribution is 6-7%.

    HA - Latest System Bid

That's why the company is always complaining about sick leave being so high. They fail to realize that little things like allowing more schedule flexibility will decrease sick leave. Most of our managers, particularly those involved in scheduling, are absolutely clueless.

    HA - Latest System Bid

We have flica, only it is not truly a trip dropping system. It is a trip drop requesting system, which still requires crew scheduling approval. I had over 80 hours last month, and tried to drop about 6 different weekday trips (4:10 credit) and was denied each time due to insufficient reserve...

    HA - Latest System Bid

Ohana is already flying routes that our 717's fly (OGG-KOA/OGG-ITO, etc) Our 717 block hours can be reduced drastically to hit the floor outlined in our current scope clause. Neo's can currently fly 3 legs per day, which could easily equate to HNL-OGG-SAN or HNL-LIH-LAX & SAN-OGG-HNL. If all...

    HAL hiring

Are you high?!? Let them negotiate a crappy contract, then recall them? Talk about a waste of time considering the last contract was sent out for ratification how many years past the amendable date? Why recall the MEC? How many mid contract LOAs have been signed? Now how many of them had...

Which airline is going to buy Hawaiian Airlines?

...airport, on any island, there will be Hawaiian aircraft there. You buy Hawaiian, you buy the Hawaii market. I agree that Delta would probably ******************** the whole thing up, and manage to alienate the local commuters, but it will still probably happen. Plus, can you imagine all...

    Age 60 informal poll

We all think we're entitled to something. The old guys think they're entitled to another 5 years at the top of the game. The young guys think they're entitled to the old guys seat. Give it a rest with the cane shaking gramps.

    Republic Airways in Hawaii??

Easy there Grandma. You're in the wrong place if you're gonna hate on people spreading rumors. Probably in the wrong industry too.

    SWA considers Europe

The Gatwick Hilton at the Airport has all of the late night drunken antics you could ever want. The garden bar downstairs (at least used to) have a couple very cute, very friendly bartenders, and the lobby bar is open 24 hours to guests. Lot's of drunken CAL flight attendants wandering around.

    Alaska ETOPS...problems?

I have heard that the 700 actually has better range than the 800. Any truth to that?

    Alaska ETOPS...problems?

I think that the kicker will be the winds. AQ had serious problems out of ANC due to winds, and had to send a bunch of bags through SEA quite frequently.

Didn't the first post claim the route was OGG-Auckland?
