Please take the time to click on this link and take a look at this guys Yahoo profile. And for those that will surely ask, no I'm not out looking for dates.

Does DCA really make their students believe that just because they go there that they are "real" Delta pilots? Is this guys deluded ego systemic at DCA.
If it is, then i'm afraid that there is not much hope for the future of the piloting profession.

Go to http://members.yahoo.com/interests?.oc=a and type in airline pilot at the keyword line. If you select the 18-25 age range you will get the most dorks. Some of their profiles makes for amuzing reading.

Another good one is to type in Embry Riddle at the keyword line. Plenty of dorks there too.
 
Hopefully, someone, somewhere, will correct his "misconceptions".

Then again, maybe not. He might have to learn the hard way about life and being untruthful...

I'm 23... I never had the conception that if I went to DCA I'd be a comair pilot...much less DAL pilot while i was there. Then again.. I also thought that people that went there were sold something anyways. He's just an idiot.
 
Now, if he doesn't go the Comair route from the DCA, then he might have a chance!



Just a joke.......Come on now! We are all one big happy family, until one DCI is sold off and then whip sawed against someone else.......

The worst regional to work for and hope to get on with a major is the regional that is owned by that major! At least that's how it works at Eagle. Now if this fella had said he would go to CAL, etc. soon, maybe it would be more believeable.
 
OK, let's not be too hard on the guy. Perhaps this is just a bit of unbridled enthusiasm for what he's doing. At one point, we all had the same "enthusiasm" but just didn't have the internet to help us embarrass ourselves.


A good friend of mine tells of his days in AF pilot training when his classmates drove through the local town with a sign on the side of their car reading...ready ?... "JET PILOTS". Just trolling for girls...hope it worked for them.
 
I think everyone is missing the point here. This guy couldn't be so stupid and nieve to actually think he will end up working for the actual mainline Delta when he finishes his training. He's apparently on some kind of ego trip to try and impress people not in the know that he's a real Delta mainline pilot.

Do many DCA students go around and tell people that since DCA is owned by DAL, that they are in fact Delta pilots?

Lets also not forget that alot of these schools tout a guaranteed interview with a regional, and many people at these schools say if you work for ASA you work for Delta!....add this to being young and excited and there you have it...

I say there is no harm in him living his dream...heck the real world will be rough enough when he gets there.....

I've had an instant message conversation with this guy, he obviously works for Mesaba, but tried to tell me that he in fact work for Northwest flying a 757. When I raised the BS flag on him he quickly ended the conversation.

Hopefully some Mesaba pilots will recognize this tool and give him a ration of $hit for being a dork.

Lets think about the context folks. He's trolling for gals. Many people think pilots are rich. Many women in their early 20's, this guys age range, want money so they might think this guy is rich...or soon to be. He probably figures that he could score on a few dates before they figure out he drives a car almost his age, has 6 roomies and is destined to make poverty wages for a while. I'm sure this fella knows that he wont be a Delta pilot soon, but do the gals he is seeking out know that? Is he being dishonest? Well no more so than any gal who might take an interest in him because of his 'supposed' stature. More power to him! lol

No. Anyway, what's more fun than this? And besides, my girlfriend is beside me laughing at these guys more than I am! Her question is why do 20something year olds need to place personal ads in Yahoo?
