Yes, it is called "Airport Standby." You sit at the airport for 5 hours and are credited 3.75 hours towards your 75 hour guarantee. There are some other rules as well but that is the general jist of it.

As far as coming to DTW to sit reserve... that would be fantastic, come on over. I'll stock the room with a few more DVD's and maybe pop for a surround-sound system and we'll all enjoy 5 hours instead of 9... wouldn't that be niiiice. =)

Not everyone here is as self-centered as has been hinted at. Quite the opposite, MOST have been very supportive of Mesaba and have tried to mend some of the fences in that respect (although it looks like we might have to put that to the test if they invoke 21G). I would expect you'd see a LOT of support here to make sure we keep the whipsaw effect from starting between our two groups, but that's a big IF this all comes to pass and IF they merged the two groups which seems pretty unlikely.

They'd be much better served from a business standpoint operating us as two completely seperate entities with a common holding company (my two cents).
