By now many of you have landed on 10/28 in ATL. Just like the ALPA memo and the I am sure the many company memos around the airline industry, they don't want you to taxi off onto highway 285. Just what 285 needs, more traffic problems.
When I have landed on this runway I would have to agree, in some conditions this would be easy to do.
I really have to wonder who approved the markings and making of this structure? The FAA obviously approved the runway. The airport obviously approved the runway.
Where was the professional pilot in this approval process who would of picked up on this upon their first landing?
This really makes me wonder who is running the FAA. I would think they would of had this area marked differently after the first test run. I guess they need to see how many pilots accidentally taxi onto 285 to get to ramp 3.
