Gents, Doing some research on how long " Trip sheets/Schedules" need to be kept on file? Is there a FAR? IRS? What about Pilot records? How long does the training dept need to keep them in house. We train at FSI. Thanks

We keep no schedule info, we save a one page tripsheet with minimal info (times, pax initials, and VOR checks. We also save our crossing master logs.

Tripsheets are kept electronically and backed up. We dont save flight plans, etc.

Pilot Records - we have a small 3 ring binder for each crewmember tabbed for:

License
Medical
Passport(s)
Initial
Last Recurrent
Last Intl Procedures
Last Medaire/CPR/AED
Last Emergency Training (Evac, etc)

Everything just replaced and tossed as needed.

Between this and a simple Training Schedule we created (excel) we easily met all ISBAO records needs, if that means much.

I'm a big believer in LESS is better when it comes to records/audits. Part 91 is great - go away and leave us alone.
