I've noticed that I can't edit posts during composition the same way I could before. For example, I used to be able to highlight a word, then right-click and copy, delete, paste - - even send it to a spell-checker. Now, the list of actions available to perform has those missing or grayed-out.
On the other hand, I now see an icon for a spell-checker. When I click on it, a dialog box pops up asking if I want to download ieSpell, which is, I presume, an Internet Explorer add-on. Has anybody had experience with this software? Good/bad? Is it something I want on my computer?
The first time after the "System Upgrade" that I tried to respond to a post I wound up with the "You ain't logged in, dummy" screen when I tried to preview the post. Perhaps this was because the "Remember Me" box had been reset during the upgrade, or is there a new timeout parameter?
Finally, when I click on New Posts, I get 20 pages... grrrrrrr....
Yeah, I know, new emoticons.
Does the insert image really work now? I guess I'll have to experiment.
Confusing. Apparently, the New Posts doesn't list all threads with posts that have been made since the last "visit" but rather threads with unread posts.
Try this: Click New Posts
View the first thread listed.
Click New Posts again.
The thread you just viewed, while NEW since the last visit, has been read, so it no longer displays. Previously it displayed in normal font instead of bold and without the "Unread Posts" icon to the left of it. Now if you want to revisit it, you have to remember which forum it is in and go hunt for it there.
