Does anyone know how far after the swa interviews does southwest call the references (i.e. closer to the decision board or soon after the interview)

I concur with ERJ....within a week.

Realize, however, they might not call your references only (I only had one called). They also might call people that wrote you letters of recommendation.

Good Luck!

And they have also been known not to call refs, and still hire.

Getting references called is not a magic yes or no, just one more step in the process.

I interviewed on a Thursday and my refs were called the next Monday.

One of the guys who interviewed on the same day didn't have his called until the following Monday, so it varies a lot, depending on how busy they are.

It happened in my class RedDog....back in August.

It doesn't happen often, but occasionally it does.

None what so ever? Not even a previous employer or current employer. I guess it could happen....I guess mabye I look at myself and they called everyone they had a name and number for but my mother.
